Awesome Article!

This has to be the best article I\'ve ever read at this site. Characters make stories interesting. As a writer, I may want to convey some truth to my readers, but it\'s the characters who will ultimately convey that truth.

Great article, indeed. But (sigh) I\'m almost finished my first novel and fear that my characters aren\'t as interesting as I once thought. If I were to use the steps outlined above, that could completely alter my novel. However, I realize that it would also make for an even better story.

Oh well, looks like I\'ve got some character work to do.

Thanks Corey, finally someone is explaining in a language I can understand. I have had several \"stories\" in my head and on paper for over 25 years. I finally believe that I can breath life into my characters and let them live on their own. Thanks again.
Remember my name... you should be hearing from me in a short time.

This article was amazingly helpful. I had been having trouble fleshing out some of my characters and started doing this keeping in mind the general basics I had thought of and suddenly the ones I thought I had done well seemed basic. I used the same exercises and it was really helpful. I have not, as of yet, figured out the things that would lower or raise their stress, but I have added this site to my favorites and will definitely come back. Thanks. :)
