People often let these standards slide after having a few disappointments that cause them to start thinking of their writing more as a hobby than a job.

First edit

Not to sound funny, and I mean this in no disrespect, but first thing you need to do is check for mistakes-edit. Until you have done this, don\'t even bother looking for someone to publish you. They will not take your work seriously. Look above at your request. You didn\'t spell starting correctly. Just a word of advise to be taken constructively, not to embarrass you. Sincerely.

In response to Rhenzel and R. Walker.

To R. Walker.
They aren\'t incorrect spellings, they\'re typos. (probably caused by typing too quickly) There\'s a difference. One might also point out that Rhenzel did not start sentences with capitalized letters, but I\'m sure this person has seperate typing habits for his or her serious work and online messages, and picking the question apart isn\'t exactly a \"constructive\" approach to answering it. Likewise, while focusing on the errors, you misunderstood the question. Rhenzel was not asking how to have the book published, he or she was looking for an editor. Yes, when you have a book pubished by a company it goes without saying that one of the editors they employ will have a peek at your work to make sure the company doesn\'t publish something full of incorrect spellings and typos, but you do not necessarily have to attempt to publish your book to have an editor look it over for you. And \"not to be funny\", but the word you were looking for was \"advice\". While \"advise\" is a word, that was not the proper context for it.
                  Sincerely.

Rhenzel,
Perhaps you know an english teacher or professor that you\'ve a friendly aquaintance with. It has been my experience that such people are usually happy to review your work and will often have an interest in your story. They may or may not request payment. And if not, it would be polite to offer some. It does take a while to read a book, longer when you\'re correcting it. Otherwise, I\'m sure if you did a little shopping you could find an editor. One that will cost you money of course. You might contact a publishing company and inquire about hiring someone to edit your book for you once you\'ve finished it. Such companies and editors can be found online, just run a search for editors and or publishing companies. You might even check the yellow pages in your phonebook depending on the area you live in. Hope the affords you some help. Best of luck and I hope your book is a success.

Just wondering

I want to write a book based on my own life. It\'s been a crazy one. At least once a week people tell me that I should write a book. I know I have a good story, but what do I do about using peoples names. Is it true that I should change them.
