See if you lack any of the necessary elements to writing a good book. You must have a plot, developed characters, and for some stories, a conflict. A conflict could be a villian or something getting in the way of your main characters. LIke for me, i like fantasy, sci-fi, and reality Fantasy. You maybe totally different. You may like documentaries and erotica. Pick a literacy genre that you like. Figure one idea out and build around it. For my story, i got my idea on a plane to Wshington DC. It was the first character of my story now. I built around the character and ended developing a long book. Make sure you have developed your characters well enough. Ive read books where the characters are not well-developed. And just a touch of my own: Make the story exciting. They both are very long and successful, but your book doesn\'t have to be as long as them to be successful. My book, \"Mysterious\" is only 200 pages, and i have put my whole heart into it. My point is, you can make it as long as you want. But make it your own. Don\'t let other books completely influence you into thinking you have to create a bestseller overnight. Take your time.
