Sun New Media Announces Exclusive E-Publishing Partnership with State Publishing Group
BEIJING, Sept. 13 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Sun New Media Inc. , a Chinese Internet based marketing, information
and transactional services company linking businesses with businesses,
announced today that it has entered into a strategic cooperative
agreement with the China Periodical Management Center, the State's
principal regulator of magazines and periodicals nationwide. The
partnership gives Sun New Media a competitive edge within China's
quickly growing, but increasingly regulated e-publishing sector.
Through the agreement, the Company gains several unique benefits for its Marketing and Information Services Division, including:
* Exclusive access to a state-owned content library, which houses 6,500
books, 1,500 audio and video products, 44 journals, and 3 newspapers;
* An exclusive partnership with the Chinese Government to issue digital
publishing permits for business-to-business (B2B) online publishing;
* Support for developing a B2B search engine for all of China that will
enable users to search for information within specific industries;
* Ongoing government support for e-publishing as the industry undergoes
regulatory changes.
With these benefits granted to the Company, Sun New Media's Marketing & Information Services Division will be uniquely positioned to enhance the Company's Transactions Services business.
