Comprehensive Self Publishing Guide

This little Self-Publishing Guide has it all. Denise Hamilton of Ink Tree Marketing has put all her book marketing and publishing experience into this straightforward and comprehensive guide. The cost is quite reasonable for the amount of information that's packed in to the guide. You'll find it a very helpful addition to your resource list if you are considering self-publishing your book. The author sold 250,000 copies of her book without taking a single workshop or seminar, and with absolutely no training or experience. Learn More about this guide.

How Do You Get Your Book Published? A Free Seminar

Self-Publishing

** NOTE: Seminar is OVER

You've got an idea for a book (or you're already written your book). What happens next?

Few people are able to make sense of the publishing industry. The options are overwhelming:

  • Do I self-publish my book?
  • How do I find a publisher?
  • Should I hire a literary agent? What do they do?
  • What should I get for my money if I go with a self-publishing company?
  • Who does the marketing and selling of the book?

... And the list goes on.

Because the number two question we receive is "How do I get my book published?" and because it would require far too many articles to properly answer this question, we've arranged for Peter Hornsberger of Cold Tree Press to talk with you for 75-80 minutes about publishing, the publishing industry, and how to get your book published.

Why Peter?

Pete has been in the publishing industry for over 20 years. Before starting Cold Tree Press, he saw first hand the cold hard facts of publishing:

  • Contracts designed to suck authors dry
  • New authors completely ignored in favor of whatever would make the most money for the publisher
  • Self-publishing companies who promised a lot, but delivered little.

So Pete created his own company, which has evolved as the industry evolved. I asked Peter to help us out because of his experience in the industry (he's a book marketing and design specialist) and because Cold Tree Press is (in my humble opinion) the future of the publishing industry.

Cold Tree Press started as a self-publishing company - charging a fee for services, but offering not purchasing the rights to the book and offering the author an advance - something more typical of traditional publishers.

Unlike some self-publishing companies, he won't print just any book. If he doesn't think the book will be a financial success, he'll tell you... and he won't publish your book. I happen to like this concept. Soon, they'll be a hybrid organization - something between a traditional publisher buying the rights to the book (and offering an advance) and a self-publishing company where the author retains the rights and is completely on his/her own for marketing and sales of the book.

Are you confused about publishing and self-publishing yet?

No worries, mate. That's why we're conducting this free seminar - to get your questions answered about publishing and self-publishing. This will be a 100% content seminar - no big sales pitches, and no attempt to lure you into buying a high-priced training program. Just the facts (and maybe a few opinions).
