The Secret to Financial Success in 2007
It is said that the secret to success is in your mind. In a recent film, The Secret Movie, a number of very successful authors talk about how they got to where they are. The secret, they say, is in what you think and where you put your attention.
Unexamined, your thoughts may block good things from manifesting in your life. It is therefore essential that you examine your perceptions and root out any misconceptions. One place to look is your attitudes about money and success. As a writer, as with any endeavor, what you think is usually what happens. Your thoughts of failure will inevitably lead to failure. Your thoughts of success will likewise inevitably lead to success.
Take, for example thoughts you might have about wealth - money. The fundamental law of attraction states that like attracts like. See if you hold any of these beliefs:
I bet you've uttered (or thought) similar things in the past. The Secret Movie includes a number of wealthy people, many of whom were once very poor. They say that since learning the law of attraction (The Secret to Success), they now think and speak differently.
Wealthy people don't tend to talk like the rest of us. Why? Statements like the above push wealth away. You are essentially repeating a commmand to your subconscious to avoid money. Generally, your subconscious will comply, and you'll find yourself failing over and over.
The last statement on the list, "There's just not enough to go around," speaks to another common false impression: the belief in scarcity. This idea of scarcity is the source of greed, theft, fear, desperation and war. People who are wealthy experience the abundance of the universe. People who are not, experience scarcity, because that is all they are able to see.
But there is no need for anyone to experience less than they desire! We have been talking mostly about money, but these ideas apply to every kind of wealth, whether it is financial, personal, or spiritual - and to your success as a writer.
However, you must be willing to let the wealth you desire into your life. While most people think they want to be rich, many of those same people fear being wealthy. Why? They don't think they deserve it. I know that when I considered applying for a job that paid me twice as much as I had been making before, I became extremely uncomfortable. Why should I be making that much? How dare I ask for that kind of a salary? It is only when I worked on letting go of such feelings that I was able to have the money I deserved.
Examine your feelings about wealth and success. Are you open and expectant to the manifestation of wealth? Or do you think that there may be people who deserve to have it all, but you are not one of them? Either way your belief has powerful energy. If you do not believe you will ever be wealthy you are correct. But if you expect wealth at every step you will get it.
That is The Secret to success. Oh, and if you haven't watched The Secret Movie yet, you should. I believe you can get a copy at The Universe of Power.
Have your best year ever in 2007!
