My Fellow Baldurians: Somehow, we made it!!

  Today marks the end of Book 1, and I just want to take a second to say thank you. Seriously. The last two months have been an absolute whirlwind in the best possible way. Not very long ago, this story was just an idea I was throwing to the wolves, and now here we are at the finish line of the first book with this weird, wonderful little community around it. Watching it grow from basically nothing to nearly 200 followers has been surreal, exciting, motivating, and honestly kind of emotional.

  Not to mention hitting Rising Stars on SEVEN DIFFERENT LISTS!! (Comedy, Satire, Romance, Apocalypse, Modern Knowledge, High Fantasy and Profanity!)

  That really flabbers my gasts! Maybe with Book 2 we can poke our heads into the Main Rising Stars List?

  Every read, every comment, every favorite, every rating, every person who gave this story a chance when it was just getting started, it has meant a lot to me. More than I can really put into words. Web serials live and die by reader enthusiasm, and the support this story has gotten has helped carry me through long writing days, late nights, self-doubt, frantic editing, and all the chaos that comes with trying to keep a story alive in public. So, whether you’ve been here since Chapter One or you just recently caught up, thank you for being part of this!

  Now that Book 1 is complete, I’m going to be taking a two-week break before launching into the next arc. But I’m not disappearing.

  During the break, I’ll be posting bonus content on Tuesdays and Thursdays, for a total of four bonus posts. So, there will still be things to check in for while we count down to the start of the next book.

  Then, on Monday, March 23rd, Book 2 officially begins posting, and the regular update schedule will resume.

  I’m incredibly excited for what’s coming next. Book 2 goes bigger in all the ways I’ve been dying to explore, bigger stakes, bigger consequences, bigger reveals, and a lot more of the stuff I think makes this series special. If you enjoyed Book 1, I really think you’re going to love where things go from here.
