Beatrice involuntarily cringed at the last option. She wasn't even going to look at the description, even if it was an S-grade race. She didn't even want to know. So she started with the second option like last time and...
[Silverwood Honeybee High Queen of Sweetness (B)]: Fully grown, the Silverwood Honeybee High Queen of Sweetness (B) appears only when a Silverwood Honeybee Queen meets the requirements of both a high queen and a queen of sweetness, making them exceedingly rare. The High Queen of Sweetness stands above other queens in both authority and ability, and can maintain control over multiple other queens, often leading to the creation of super-hives. Both her egg-laying ability and her honey skills are enhanced, allowing her and her powerful hive to indulge in delicious sweets.
'Strong family, delicious honey, long-ass name. Moving on.'
[Sweet Queen Bee (B)]: The Sweet Queen Bee (B) arises when a queen bee exceeds the bounds of her base species to rule over all species of bee. A bee-type Queen of Sweetness must make meaningful and peaceful communication with another species to unlock the racial evolution Sweet Queen Bee (B). Bee-type monsters are typically hostile to those outside their hives, while a few varieties are solitary by nature. Therefore, peaceful communication with other species is unlikely, making the Sweet Queen Bee (B) especially rare. Her honey-based skills are enhanced, allowing her to feed and strengthen her hive, and to indulge in delicious sweets.
'A queen of all bees is so cool, but it'd be more nice if I knew how many species of bees were close-by. The enhanced honey skills. A nice short name...'
[Queen Bee Honey Assassin (B)]: The Queen Bee Honey Assassin (B) arises when a queen bee exceeds the bounds of species to rule over all species of bee, and uses honey to ambush and kill her targets. A bee-type monster must make meaningful and peaceful communication with another species, and kill multiple higher-tier monsters using honey, in order to unlock the racial evolution Queen Bee Honey Assassin (B). Bee-type monsters are typically hostile to those outside their hives, while a few varieties are solitary by nature. Therefore, peaceful communication with other species is unlikely. Using honey as a weapon is also unusual, and extremely difficult. Thus a Queen Bee Honey Assassin is nearly unheard of. She uses honey to eliminate rivals and enemies, striking from the shadows for maximum advantage. Anything defend her hive.
'Not bad per se, but I would like to keep to the light side of honey. The dark side is kind of gross, and less tasty.'
[Honey Flood (A)]: The Honey Flood (A) is a being of pure honey, connected directly to the origin of honey. Only arises from a monster with an unhealthy obsession with honey, typically a bee-type or a bear-type monster. Honey flows from the Honey Flood (A) continuously, refilling their mana, healing and expanding their body, and drowning all in a flood of honey. Warning! This is a calamity-type racial evolution. Both monsters and the enlightened species will be given quests with generous rewards, to slay the Honey Flood (A).
'So choosing the Honey Flood (A) evolution means death. And what does it mean by 'unhealthy obsession with honey'? Honey's great! Well that was the last option, nothing else to see here. It's tempting to choose Silverwood Honeybee High Queen of Sweetness (B) for the enhancements to egg-laying and honey-based skills, but I think I'll go with Sweet Queen Bee (B). Ruling over all kinds of bees is cool, but I'm really choosing it because the name is shorter, obviously.'

Beatrice was drifting. Her mind flitting from thought to thought. But even then, she was excited to be fully grown. Now that Beatrice was a responsible adult Sweet Queen Bee (B), she was going to make some responsible decisions.

Beatrice's vision fully returned, and she could see the inside of the evolution cage better than ever. Ian and Mirella were standing with their faces to the bars to better see Beatrice's changes. Her self-assigned mission was to interact normally with Ian and Mirella without either of them figuring out how embarrassed she was.
"Heeeeey Ian. H-how're you doing?" Mission failed.
"I'm doing quite well, and I'm excited to see your new abilities. And I feel I must say, your new evolution is lovely Beatrice."
'M-my new abilities? Lovely?' Beatrice would've run. But she was in the evolution jail.
'What about me?' Mirella whined.
Beatrice was both annoyed and relieved at Mirella being a distraction. "Hi Mirella. You look shorter today." Beatrice had noticed that Mirella could hear her thoughts when she spoke using dance, so Beatrice was able to include Ian in the conversation. He still couldn't hear Mirella though.
'Hey! That's because you got bigger.' Mirella's mental voice was amused, with mock offence coloring her tone.
Beatrice turned her attention towards her body, and she was a bit bigger. Her abdomen was longer, which made it look less stubby, her legs were longer and more elegant while also being slightly thicker and more powerful, and her wings were larger and fuller than before. Her coloration was also a bit different, with the yellow becoming the rich golden-yellow of honey and the black became darker, contrasting with and highlighting her soft setae (bee hair). Not to mention the lustrous sheen to her carapace and her cute dainty mandibles.
Now Beatrice was even more nervous, and at the same time even more thankful for Mirella's presence. She doubted any drone would be able to resist her sex-appeal now. Beatrice gave Ian a sidelong look -Which was very easy to do as a bee- and she could see the hunger in his eyes (She couldn't). She didn't doubt that Ian would lose control and attack her as soon as they were alone together (He wouldn't).
Mirella for her part was getting some very strange mental signals from Beatrice, and she looked at the queen bee with an expression somewhere between concern, and discomfort. 'Should I leave?' Mirella sent, and was hit by an incoherent burst of panic, excitement, worry, and a few other emotional undertones Mirella didn't want to examine too closely.
"No, don't leave yet! We still have to help you get home after all!" Beatrice's voice shouted into Mirella's mind. Mirella couldn't help but notice Beatrice's voice was less androgynous and more feminine, but the words themselves were more important.
'You'll take me back? I thought you were going to keep me here as a pet and force me to do traditional gnome dances for honey candies.' Mirella sounded afraid, but not unwilling to accept candies.
"What the fu... Why would we do that?" Beatrice's mind was torn from her delusions by the absurd notion.
'W-well, you did put me in a cage, and Ian told me you wanted to make me dance for candies.' Mirella's mental voice was hopeful now. Maybe she wouldn't be a slave, subject to the fickle whims of a powerful monster.
"Ian, what the hell is Mirella talking about? Why would you tell her that I want her as a pet? She'd be a terrible pet." Beatrice said, the glint in her compound eyes demanding an answer.
'Hey! I think I'd be a nice pet!' Mirella interjected.
Beatrice ignored her, and Ian responded with a confused look to his movements. "I told her no such thing. I think the relevant conversation took place an hour ago, and what I said was 'Don't worry. Once Beatrice returns everything will be fine. Maybe she'll even give you some of those honey candies you like.' I certainly didn't tell her she would be a pet. Why would we want such a noisy pet?"
"Right? I'll give her honey candies if she wants, but she can't stay here forever." Mirella perked up at Beatrice's mention of honey candies.
'Oh, that's wonderful news! B-but I want a guarantee. If you accept my previous offer, then I'll know you can be trusted to keep your word. Nobody in their right mind would break a System pact.'
Beatrice took some time to think about it. She didn't intend to break her word, but there were too many obligations included in Mirella's offer, and she felt bad about extorting a desperate princess for her kingdom's treasure. "I'll make the deal, but I didn't really want the dukedom or the human slaves. We'll change the deal to one hundred gold sovereigns and a crown artifact of our choosing, in exchange for your safe passage to the Morntham capital and assistance in retaking the royal palace. But we won't risk our lives for your kingdom. Ian and I decide when and where we fight. We'll accept advice, and I promise not to sit out the battle completely." Beatrice laid out her conditions and Mirella considered them carefully.
"That being said; if Ian doesn't agree to the deal, then we'll decline." Beatrice added.
Ian was paying attention as Beatrice explained their conditions to Mirella, and he nodded. "If you wish to accept this deal, then I shall stand by your side. But we should first determine the dangers. Ask Mirella what we can expect to face, and If the enemies consist of tier fives or higher, then the risk would be too great."
'What did he say?' Mirella asked nervously.
"Ian's on board, unless the enemy has enemies above tier four. So, what can we expect to face?"
Mirella cringed at that, and lowered her head. 'I know of two tier five Keldarian warriors leading the attack on my people. Is there no chance you'll help, knowing that?'
Beatrice didn't really know how strong a tier five was, but a tier four could easily kill her in one blow. Ambushing unaware monsters was entirely different than fighting on the battlefield, and humans were smarter than most monsters. Anyone intelligent wouldn't pick a garbage evolution if they had another option.
Beatrice did want to help Mirella, but she wasn't going to throw her new life away. "We can't help you. Not unless something changes."
"So the enemy has tier fives?" Ian asked.
"Yeah, two unfortunately."
"We could help in a couple weeks, assuming the situation isn't unsalvageable by then. I should reach tier five soon enough."
Beatrice gave Ian a look. A look that said 'Already? You freak of nature.' Beatrice's sheer disbelief made Mirella look up curiously.
"How long are you willing to wait?" The question clearly took Mirella off-guard. She had already resigned herself to either dying to save her people, or living in self-imposed exile. So why was Beatrice asking for time?
'Historically, when the Morntham kingdom was attacked, the military used earth magic and to move underground and survived on edible mushrooms or military rations. They've been known to last years, striking at enemy assets from underground and keeping the resistance alive... But the Keldarian Empire is known for its mages, so I don't know.'
"Give us a few weeks to prepare." Beatrice was happy to help the only other person she actually knew in this world, but she was much more excited to see Ian at tier five...
