After they had been drinking for some time, the trio decided to leave the cocktail bar for a while and went downstairs to the balcony to get some fresh air.
From the balcony, the city lights stretched endlessly, flickering like distant stars.
Conrad leaned slightly against the railing and looked at Adarte and Anisa.
At that moment, an idea that had been slowly forming in his mind became clearer.
A team.
He believed that Nen users were at their strongest when they had a team behind them.
He turned toward them.
"You two," Conrad began.
Adarte and Anisa both looked at him, waiting.
Conrad continued calmly.
"I've been thinking about creating a team. Something with good intentions. Something where we protect each other. This is a long-term pn. What do you think?"
"The purpose of the team may be thought of at a ter time."
"But basically, a group of friends and people that looked out for each other."
For a brief moment, Adarte and Anisa looked at one another.
Then both of them smirked slightly.
They knew Conrad was not a man of empty words.
He rarely spoke unnecessarily.
If he was bringing something up, it meant he had already considered it seriously.
Anisa spoke first.
"I'm good with it."
Adarte followed without hesitation.
"I can follow you."
Conrad raised an eyebrow slightly.
"I didn't say I would be the leader."
Anisa and Adarte smiled.
"You didn't," Anisa said, "but you intend to. And we're fine with that."
Adarte nodded.
"We can see it ourselves. You have what it takes."
Conrad smiled faintly but did not argue further.
Leadership was not about ciming the position openly.
It was about responsibility.
About being the one others naturally turned to.
"I've already decided on a name," Conrad said. "And I have some pns for ter."
Both of them listened carefully.
"We will need more people," Conrad continued.
"People we can trust. Simir to the Phantom Troupe in structure but with good intentions."
Adarte crossed his arms and nodded.
"Selective recruitment."
"Exactly," Conrad replied.
Anisa leaned slightly forward.
"And what kind of people are we looking for?"
"Capable," Conrad answered.
"Not blinded by ego. People who understand cooperation."
"They can be morally gray, but there should be some rules on that."
"We do not want deviants and "evil," the purest forms."
He paused briefly.
"And people who can accept conditions."
Adarte narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Conditions?"
"For strength and responsibility," Conrad said simply.
The wind moved lightly around them.
Adarte and Anisa did not press further.
They had already learned that Conrad often thought several steps ahead.
If he were pnning something deeper, he would reveal it when the time was right.
"We're waiting for your news and information," Anisa said calmly.
Conrad nodded.
There was more in his mind, but he did not share it now.
Internally, his thoughts were already structured.
His fifth ability would be one designed specifically for training, something that would allow him to refine aura control, expand capacity, and polish precision faster than conventional practice.
And the sixth ability
That would be different.
A collection-type ability.
One that would function through grouping.
An ability that would not only enhance him but enhance the entire team.
But such an ability would require strict rules. Binding conditions. Perhaps shared risks.
That was for ter.
For now, what mattered was the foundation.
He looked at the two of them again.
The three stood on the balcony in silence for a few moments, watching the city below.
Conrad did not know it at first, but he could feel that such events only happened in movies.
The times when he knew that he needed to make a real decision or make an important decision that may affect many things in the future.
Feeling it is different than knowing it or seeing it, which was pretty important for him.
"A team, huh..." he thought and smiled at himself.
