I: RUN

THE PRIVATE CHAMBERS OF LORD-KING LUXOR PRONOS

  THE ROYAL HOUSE OF PRONOS

  THE ROYAL CITY

  PLANET GUARDINAS

  ZAGREUS GALACTIC SECTOR

UPON CLOSING HIS 'PERSONAL HOLO-LOG' the Guardinian Lord-King Luxor Pronos pulled out the ‘mini-flash drive looking-device’ that was connected to his personal holo-log system.

“Are you done yet, Your Grace,” asked a worrisome-looking Lieutenant Dexius Solas, who wore a ‘tattered, black-leather-like’ armored jumpsuit.

With his Pulsar Auto-Rifle in hand, Dexius waited at his King’s side as the Vexans started to breach the Royal Palace.

With the ‘Lady-Princess’ Ashanna away in her private chamber, packing her things for her journey to the not too distant planet of ‘Aeshlara’... EARTH, Luxor remained in his own chamber.

SUDDENLY, Dexius’s sweaty and cut up face ‘flashed with fear’ as he snapped, “MY KING… I have just received word that the Vexans have BREACHED the Royal Palace! We must escape while we still can!!!”

Luxor kept his eyes looking down at an old ‘holo’ of himself, his wife, the Lady-Queen Andridia (who had been away on diplomatic talks in the neighboring city of ‘Radandia’ when the Vexan Invasion first began), his eldest son, the Lord-Prince Lanteus (who he had just learned lost his life in combat against the Brothers Vexas in the Barren Outlands), his other son, the Lord-Prince Lerrick (who had been captured for ‘grand ransom’ by life-forceless crewmembers of the fearsome ‘marauder-captain’ Qullos Zsolaar when he a mere six-cycles-old only to be never returned), and his ‘still living’ daughter, the Lady-Princess Ashanna.

“There is no ‘escape’ for me, boy,” King Luxor grimly replied whilst staring down at his family’s holo with a broken look in his weary, turquoise-colored eyes.

“My King… WHAT IN THE STARBLAZES ARE YOU TALKING ABOUT,” Dexius asked in ‘crazed-confusion’. “Of course there is!”

“No… There isn’t. There is only enough room for two passengers aboard the Escape Shuttle Pod… And I intend for those two to be you and Ashanna.”

  “What are you saying???”

“I am saying that I shall not be joining you two on your voyage. I shall remain here… And await my judgment… MY PUNISHMENT.”

Thinking that the Lord-King was ‘thracking crazy’, Dexius recklessly grabbed hold of his arm with his free hand and started to drag him along.

“No! I am not leaving you, Your Grace,” Dexius stated firmly as he tried and failed to pull King Luxor along with him.

Gritting his teeth, the white-bearded and long-haired, ‘tunic-wearing’ guardinian ruler pulled Dexius back and threw him against a wall made of impenamite bricks.

Pinning him up in the impenawall with his right forearm placed against his chest, King Luxor blared in the Blue Guardian’s bronze-skinned ‘war-weary’ face, “I said that I am not going with you, Dexius!!!”

With fear now showing in his own turquoise eyes, the Lieutenant fumbled, “But… But if you stay here, Your Grace… You shall be killed.”

“Yes, I shall,” King Luxor nodded. “AND I DESERVE IT.”

  “Whu-What do you mean?”

“Long ago, towards the end of the first ‘Pyramid War’, I extinguished the Brothers Vexas’s father’s life-force, Validax. For some strange reason, I have always known that he would be avenged by his heirs one day-cycle… And that ‘cursed’ day-cycle has finally come, Dexius. I can no longer run from it.

“I must stay here and await my punishment… And you and my daughter MUST go. Take the Pyramid of Power, the other Guardian Energy Shifters, and go to planet ‘Aeshlara’... Also known as ‘Earth’, which is approximately one sector over from ours in the ‘Saauda’ Galactic Sector.

“Once there, you must find a man named ‘Castron Lakarias’. He shall aid you both in your ‘new’ life-cycles on the aeshlaran home world. Once you have found and have come in contact with ‘Lord Lakarias’, I order you to select ‘six champions’ who be worthy enough to wield the Energy Shifters’ godly might and powers so you ‘chosen seven’ can bring an end to the Vexan Empire’s ‘reign of tyranny and terror’ across the starways… ONCE AND FOR ALL. Tis too late for me and this world, boy… But it is not too late for you and Ashanna. Now go, Lord-Guardian… Dexius. RUN… While you still can.”

The Guardinian King then released the shocked and confused Blue Guardian from his grip as he continued, “I shall buy you and Ashanna enough time for your escape for as long as I can. Now go… Begone with thyself!”

Dexius did not run, as instructed… ORDERED. He just stood still whilst trying to assess the ‘current situation’ that was at hand.

Lowering his brow, King Luxor screamed in a rage, “I SAID GO!!!”

Filled with immediate fear, Dexius, without speaking, bolted away towards Lady-Princess Ashanna’s Personal Chamber whilst King Luxor stayed behind to contend with the dreaded ‘four-heads’ of the Vexan Empire.

Whilst King Luxor had Dexius pinned up against the wall, he secretly placed the ‘mini-flash drive’ looking holo-recorder device, which contained his ‘final address to the six new champions of the currently ‘championless’ Guardian Energy Shifters’, on the young soldier’s uniform in hopes that he would discover it later on.
