A full week had passed since the night Fuego’s home went up in flames. Sky was still waiting for Kahree and Oki’s return. Together, they went with Conner and other free Star Children to the Underground Railroad. Not sure what else to do, Sky decided to lay low until she knew they had returned to Freeland. Jordy and Sky had spent the night together ever since that night. Something neither of them planned on...
Jordy stood by the patio door, watching dusk, turning into daylight. Lost in thought, he stood still dreading this day coming. He didn’t notice Sky had also awakened a few minutes after Jordy got out of bed. She didn’t say anything but instead chose to just watch. Sky knew this day would be difficult for him. The day of his brother's wake…
Earlier he slipped on a pair of gray sweatpants, leaving his chest shirtless. Large purple and red bruises were sprawled across his back like it was artwork. On Jordy’s left arm was a small blue cast covering his wrist as well as cuts and scrapes scattered all over his body. The guy looked as if he had been in a fight and unfortunately lost, but that wasn’t the case. Not at all… Jordy almost lost his life trying to save others. The very people his family considers to be their enemies.
Sky quietly slid out of bed to join her lover in watching the view. That’s when she noticed Jordy’s red eyes. “Hey, come here.” She wrapped her arms around him and held on tight. “It’s going to be okay. This day too shall pass.” Comforting him was the only thing she could do at the moment considering she’s the reason his brother is dead. While he grieved openly, she had to in silence... Jordy wasn’t the only one who had lost a sibling that night.
Jordy met Sky’s gaze with his eyes full of tears. He then turned to her and wrapped his long arms around her waist. He sniffled a few times before saying, “When we were kids, our favorite game was hide and seek. Well, one time he hid so good that I couldn’t find him. I remembered I started to panic because I believed I had really lost him. About ten minutes later, after I started giving up, Alex popped out of nowhere. I was so relieved that I held him tight for what felt like a lifetime. Sky, I really don’t remember what happened that night.” He lifted his head to meet Sky’s gaze, “everything for me is a blur, but there is one thing that doesn’t make sense. Alex was not supposed to be there that night. He was stationed somewhere else to handle another business deal. The men who found his remains said he was burned so badly, he was almost completely down to ash. Not even some of the furniture was burned that bad... The only way they knew it was him was from his custom nine-inch Essence Stone dagger that was sticking out of the ashes. Sky, some believe a Star Child killed him. Fuego and my uncle believe it was the Child of Fire. Either fucking way, I’m not ready to bury my little brother.”
Sky chose to stay quiet and listen to Jordy’s stories about his brother. It was imperative that she didn’t say much. She didn’t want to trigger anything for Jordy that could expose the truth. Alex killed Luna, the Child of Chaos and probably countless others. The fact of the matter is Alex LaGon needed to die. He enjoyed the monstrosities he was a part of too much. His actions towards the Star Counsel made him legendary... Unlike his older brother, Sky noticed his uncle and the other higher ups, kept a lot from Jordy. They must have realized what Sky did; Jordy wasn’t like the rest of them. His heart was pure and untainted, the only good one amongst the bunch. But how do I get him to my side... Thought Sky as she caressed the back of Jordy's neck. She continued listening to Jordy reminisce about Alex. Sky knew he needed to get it out... The wake wasn’t until this evening, so she felt they had plenty of time to talk.
“I wish he would have listened to me about going away to school. Alex was smart, very smart, and he should have made something of himself. Unfortunately, my uncle did not think the same... My Uncle Ro saw how special Alex was and decided to exploit it instead of catering to it. What I mean is, at an early age my family saw how intelligent he was. Alex was solving financial issues long before the adults were able to fathom what was going on. There was just something about him that stood out among everyone else... My father saw it too and told me to make sure Alex got out of Freeland. I never took any offense to what my father was saying about Alex because honestly, I felt the same. My father told me, ‘I was my brother’s keeper.’ I failed him Sky... After Alex got his first taste of blood, he was never the same. My father wasn’t strong enough to fight against Ro. He made Alex into what he couldn’t do with his own son, Ishmael. It was my responsibility to take care of him and not to exploit him. I will always hate my uncle for that.”
Sky once again put her arms around Jordy’s neck. This time, however, Jordy leaned in and kissed Sky gently on the lips. When she pulled back, they stayed inches away from each other. “You know,” Jordy continued. “If the Child of Fire did show up that night to end my brother, he deserved it. The whole situation would have been poetic justice honestly... Alex killed so many. On top of that, the Angels lost another sister at our hands.” Jordy looked up and met Sky’s gaze. Deep down, he had no idea how much his words meant to her. Sky was also hurting bad. She wished the situation between her and her sister would have worked out differently as well. Sky did what she had to that night and staring into Jordy’s pain lit eyes only made the sting stronger. “Even though it was from a fucked-up situation, it would have been a real sight to see that I came so close to being face to face with an Angel of Death.”
If you only fucking knew! I am the Child of Fire! The words were on the tip of her tongue. Instead, she decided to cave into the distraction. She quickly leaned in and kissed her lover hard on his lips. They stayed lip locked until Sky moved down to his neck. Kissing him slowly all over his chest, Jordy let out soft sighs as she continued going downward. Dropping down to her knees, she slowly pulled down his sweatpants revealing the fact he was commando. Sky explored his readiness with her lips, making him moan loudly. After a few minutes of pure pleasure, Jordy lifted Sky to her feet, turned her around, then softly pushed her on her stomach, plopping her down on the bed. He then pulled her shorts down over her backside, then around her feet before climbing on top. Both made loud moaning noises as they became one. Squeezing his fingers through Sky’s, she held tight as the thrusts became stronger and faster. For what felt like a lifetime, they both released into one another. Sky turned onto her back, allowing Jordy to lay down on her chest as they both caught their breath. She caressed Jordy’s head once again as she stared at the ceiling in thought. As much as it tore her up inside, Sky knew it still wasn’t time yet to tell Jordy the truth about who she really was. Deep down, she knew the time was coming however, and that would be the true turn of the tide.

“Come with me to the wake...” Jordy asked as he lifted his head.
Sky pondered the idea. Honestly, she felt bad for Jordy in these moments. His family definitely makes plans without him. Sky found ways of informing Jordy without directly telling him. “I don’t know... I heard it was going to be like that night Trayvis Jr killed that lady and that was too much for me.” The memory didn’t sit well with Sky. She needed to meet up with Kahree and Oki, so they could plan a counterattack. “As much as I would love to, I have to meet Ree this afternoon. Ever since Pierre disappeared, Molly and his stores have been in shambles.”
Jordy sat up and was a little shocked by the statement. “What? I thought we all agreed on something different... Sky, I have to go.” He quickly stood up and began getting dressed. Walking Jordy to the door, he turned around and attempted to say, "I lo...” He was interrupted by another hard kiss. She stopped him mid-sentence from saying the very words she was afraid to hear and say in return. “You might want to stay here tonight. It may not be safe after all.”
Pecking Jordy on the lips one more time, Sky replied, “I’ll be fine, trust me.”

Not even an hour went by before Sky heard a knock on her door. Just getting out of the shower, she quickly ran to the door and saw it was Kahree. Relieved and excited at the same time, Sky swung open the door to let her in. That’s when she noticed her sister wasn’t alone. A tall man walked in after Kahree with a large hoody covering the upper half of his face. He had dark blue pants with regular black boots. The tall mystery man had to lower his head a little bit just to enter through the door. “I brought someone with me...” Kahree said with a big smile.
When the tall man removed his hood, Sky saw it was Jaca. Immediately, she dashed over to him and gave Jaca a big hug. “How are you here? Did you come alone? Jaca, I’m so fucking happy to see you!”
Jaca wrapped his long fingers around Sky’s head as they embraced for a few moments. “I’m happier... There’s something different about you. I can’t quite put my finger on it, but I like it on you.”
“She’s in love...” Kahree said quietly while coughing into her hand. “Wait till you find out who.” Sky smiled quickly dropped as she gave her sister the side-eye. Kahree just smiled and winked like the tattling didn’t bother her.
Jaca raised an eyebrow then cleared his throat the same. “Come we have much to discuss and not much time.” Over the next few hours, Kahree and Jaca filled Sky in with all details of taking the free Star Children to safety. Sky was relieved when she heard they were able to retrieve Luna’s body before the rebels could. That was only one situation taking off their long list of things to do...
“Sky, you heard what they’re planning to do tonight with Arkaminus, right?” Kahree asked Sky as she continued to get dressed.
“I did. Those fuckers have been talking about it all week. They plan on making an example out of him. I heard it was going to be a huge celebration in honor of Alex LaGon. His family is turning his wake into another pathetic attempt to recruit more KFM members.” Sky casually walked to the other end of her apartment. “Since I had no other choice but to wait, I started rebuilding my cherry bomb inventory.” When she walked over to a small, locked closet, both Jaca and Kahree’s opens widened with surprise. The whole closet was filled with glass jars that were filled with tiny orange glowing bombs. Sky had painted the jars black to help mask the glow.
Kahree jumped with excitement then flung her arms around her sister. “Yes! I knew you weren’t going to let us down! This will go perfect with what Oki, and I already have set up.”
“What do you already have setup?” Sky asked while glancing at Jaca, who was also waiting for an answer.
“You’ll have to see for yourself...” Kahree stated as she gathered her belongings then walked towards the door. Kahree took Sky and Jaca to a nearby roof of one of the clothing stores she worked at. There she showed them three boxes that were filled to the rim. At first glance, Sky and Jaca could not make out what was sticking out of the box until the gagging smell of death overtook their senses.
“What the fuck is that smell, Kahree?” Asked Sky as she covered her nose with her arm. Jaca did the same thing. “Are those body parts?” Arms and legs, torsos and feet stuck out of large boxes that were purposely placed against the side facing the Townsquare.
Kahree waved the flies away as she approached one of the boxes. “Remember I told you I had to take out Pierre at a party while you were in Boro? Well, he wasn’t the only one Oki, and I took out that night. I know I had promised you I wouldn’t kill anyone, but I couldn’t pass on that opportunity. Like I said, Pierre had been trying to get into my pants ever since I started working for him, the fucking pig. So, when Oki, and I decided to invite him, his merry gang of yellow freaks and the remaining half of Windermere’s men, this is what we did with them. Oki did most of the work of course... She transformed into a large fucking lioness and tore each of them a part. One by one...” Kahree stared deep into the boxes as she reminisced what they had done.
Sky glanced back at Jaca after hearing Kahree’s horror story. Jaca shrugged his shoulders, not sure what to say. Sky stepped closer to her sister and asked, “So, what are we doing with all these bodies parts, Ree?”
Kahree pointed to four other building rooftops. “Look there. Oki, and I planted at least a dozen boxes full of these fuckers all around Townsquare. We’re going to make it rain in this bitch! With the help of your cherry bombs, body parts are going to fly all over them. They’re not going to know what to do. That’s when you and I will sweep in and save Arkaminus... Great plan, right?”
Sky and Jaca once again gave each other a glance before both turning to Kahree. “It’s fucking genius...” Sky said with a sinister smile.
