Due to the discovery of the "Branches" as well as designating the material that composes the branches as a whole as Bio-Organic, we decided to experiment with the material at hand, the first idea that was presented to the committee at the time was to mold the substance inside of the branches into some form of Organ, we thought it was a good idea since if we were to implant stem cells into the organs. due to them being alive but blank it would override the preexisting material and turn it into some form of substitute for human transplants.
Each organ had a different purpose when creating them though, as per usual with the human body. however, each process to replicate the exact memorization for the body was different. some required a specific number of cells, blood, as well as the various nerves and bioelectricity to be implemented into the organic tissues. which made it more difficult to pin down since nobody on the team knew how to create this stuff from scratch.
though with the proper management and faculty, we were able to make great progress, we are planning to use the "Substitutes" we've created in modern medicine and surgery. we're hoping with this new event that sprung up, a world beyond the horizon can be discovered just at our very fingertips!

One scientist finishes his recording but today was unlike a day he would have expected, a dawn was nearing. of new life!
A child was about to be born; his excitement was through the sky and into space at that point. knowing that his flesh and blood would bear fruit into somebody that he could cherish for the rest of his life. He walked through the halls after he finished filing the reports that were supposed to be sent to the higher-ups post haste.
He knew that when the child arrived this life of his would vanish, as a new life would rise from the ashes. all he could do was happily walk down the halls after leaving the room. each of the personnel stared at him confusingly. some greeted him and congratulated the new arrival. others just didn't really care.
But that didn't matter. as long as the new face came into this world, he would give up everything for his new child.
Everything...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Everything had vanished.

Records Of the Dead, Report #124920231
In the infirmary, A woman by the name of "Delilah Deimos" had been terminated after giving birth to a malnourished child, afterwards the child had died due to lack of nourishment in the womb. however, before the death was recorded the Medical Staff tried their best to help heal the child throughout the course of 4 days, but to no avail. Researcher "Thompson Deimos" was the head of the team; however, he was found drunk after the passing of his own daughter.
Due to this, the researcher in question was brash after the next few days, assaulting faculty and harassing his supervisors. he was suspended from the sect he worked in until further notice.
Until further notice...

A man wandered in his house, his home more of a mess than ever before. his crutch was his fear as his breath was faint. the scent of alcohol and various fluids filled the entire area. he had become nothing but a husk of his former self. a waste, a shut-in.
He turned to his phone for any updates of his return, some turned to be calls of former collogues that he had promptly ignored, others turned out to be debt collectors or companies that wanted their fair pay. but at that point the man had nothing to offer.
but just as he went back to his kitchen to empty himself into the delights of another bottle, a knock was heard behind closed doors.
Then a voice followed.
"Thompson! Now we know you in particular don't understand what's going on, but we came here for a proposition!" The one behind the door exclaimed. Thompson looked and walked towards the door slowly. he felt as if it was another scam or piece of shit co-worker in his eyes.
"W-wHat DO YOu WaNT?" Thompson speech of blurred due to the intoxication, making it easy to notice. The person behind the door continued to speak.
"I already told you. We're here for a proposition, or more like a deal? if anything we've found a way to get your.."
Before he could finish the sentence, Thompson opened the door erratically, trying to punch the man for even muttering the chance of getting his daughter back. though the seemingly young man easily pushed him away. however, no anger was shown at the pathetic attempt.
The man just sighed, starting to explain.
"Listen, we've haven't got time for this, to make this blunt. there is a way to get your daughter back, all of us knew you're too valuable to be let go, so consider this a gift from the higher-ups to get you back in the right mood." Thompson was listening but the overwhelming emotions made him puke all over the man's shirt.
Afterwards he was dragged away.

Project Prometheus, Addendum Log, #02.
We have acquired a subject lost enough for the project's growth; The subject is deemed necessary to nurture and help develop the "Homunculus" that will be created using "substitutes". we believe by injecting essential fluids and vitamins, cells and nerves. while constant electrical signals are given into the cells of the "Branches" themselves could create human life.
The resources we have taken from fresh corpses and donors were sufficient. however, we needed to reconstruct stem cells to replicate the attributes and bodily functions of the subject's "Homunculus"
Using his research and certain files from the development in the mother's womb. we've been able to create the groundwork.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
A man awakes; it has been countless days of trial and error to reach the perfection that used to be the one he loved. with those near him, he made progress that defied God himself. but he didn't care.
He went to the laboratory designated chamber for the "Homunculus " as they called it, that name tainted the image of the only thing that mattered. but nonetheless he moved towards the vat that shined an effervescent green. in the middle floating there was what looked to be a fetus. it was pale as the moon; its skin wasn't developed completely. its body was light as a feather, so it was surprising that it was in the middle exactly.
"She looks so peaceful" the father said, a tear flowing down his very cheek, he knew someday soon this will able be over. as he'll be whole again.
A noise then came from his side. a researcher alerted him about recent progression about the nutritional process. while also discussing the various electrical signals and exact cell programming needed to create the exact functions of what he knew his daughter would be.
"Now it's a little odd you wanted this "Subject" to have the exact memories-" The man was cut off with a single sentence.
"I just need her to remember my face. that's all I ask." questions sprung up, knowing that he could've done so much with the brain's rewiring. just the face was enough.
"If you say so, however you'll need to work overtime to catch up with your recent habits" The researcher mocked, though the father just brushed it off.
"Anything, for her..."

Project Prometheus, Addendum Log, #051
We've recently finished developing the "Homunculus" to a healthy state, in recent events we noticed that some of the lead development faculty of our project have been ecstatic to launch the first subject needed for our goals.
However, we haven't heard from the necessary "Holder" of the homunculus. no sights or direct information from emails or "Tele-Calls" have been recorded or received. most of the management square worry that the holder has gone rogue and ran off due to mental instability.
We've deduced this to certain information being reported missing from Prime Documents. though it could've been another falling out with some third party.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Now listen, we've got "the goods" for you, we just need your approval to take whatever we want~" an assassin said cheerfully, she was as nimble as she was toying. wearing patterns of bite marks across a leather jacket, while a mask painted with a creeping smile that looked to uncanny to call human was covering her face.
More of her collogues sat across a table, while the "Holder" sat at the very edge.
"I told you, you'll get whatever you want as long as you create a distraction for me to get my daughter and leave!" Frustration filled the man's body, as much as pity was given to the man himself.

"We already understand the point~ it's not our fault that today was a bust, so Impatient. but just know this, you'll have our word if you just give us some more time and freedom." The woman said playfully. it was as if this was just one big game for her, which just rubbed salt on the wound for allying with these low lives.
"How many lives are you going to take then? Those people have nothing to do with this, and I KNOW you're all aching to inflict undo suffering on these innocents!" The man shouted, though all of the members either groaned or waited. one then spoke.
"Please understand, we'll do nothing so trite. all we wish is to get a sufficient reward for our endeavors, as I do say for all of us. we like to enjoy ourselves in pleasantries before giving the "goods" as you call them" It was a hooded man that spoke these words. he looked towards the bitten woman as she groaned herself almost to death.
"FINE! But if this doesn't go as planned, I won't hesitate to kill everyone during that heist, my life is forfeit before my own kin and you should've known this before taking this job." Some of the members understood clearly while others just laughed it with smug faces.
It was that moment that father knew, it was time to take back what was his.

[WARNING, WARNING]
[INTRUDERS HAVE BEEN FOUND RUNNING THROUGHOUT THE SOUTH CHAMBERS, ALL FACULTY IS SAID TO HIDE OR EVACUATE IMMEDIATLY]
[WARNING, WARNI-
A sparking sound was heard as the assassins moved throughout the building, they performed as best as they could to make sure the job was done quickly and without any problems. each camera was defused, each trap disarmed. they grabbed any evidence, documents, credentials, as well as personal belongings from the dead faculty members that they had cut down. or worse.
Guards waited outside for the heist to end as others went in to supply backup to the ones stationed inside. but each one fell as the might of the intruders proved to be overwhelming to the average Guardian.
"They seem to be making their way towards the VAT, station as many guards there, barricade the room and make sure to provide cover fire when the time arrives!" The radios blasted these orders to anybody that was near the area of interest. while others rushed towards there to help their comrades. some were unfortunate enough to be caught by most of the intruders.
"IT SEEMS TO BE THAT THE INTRUDERS HAIL FROM C.O.M.E.T, PROCEED WITH CAUTION, I REPEAT PROCEED WITH CAUT-" A woman on the radio cut out before being able to finish her warning.
A group of guards rushed towards the Vat Chambers, though it seems somebody was already inside. when they came to look, they were swarmed which what seemed to be Metallic Flys. each one bit off little pieces of cloth, and then flesh, finally bone.
A single being made out of the fly's arose from the gore that festered into a mist, it seemed to be an insectoid completely comprised of the material they those insects were made of. it looked back to see Thompson.
"Y-y-y-y-you R-Really N-Need To H-Hurry" The insectoid warned Thompson, as he was inputting his credentials and orders into a keypad from the vat's mechanism. he knew there was little time for escape. little time to see his child was it was disconnected from the machine. it all depended on him even if he didn't want it to.
"I KNOW! KEEP THOSE BASTARDS AWAY! Do anything, ANYTHING! and everything shall be yours!" He shouted as he finished inputting a password to finish the confirmation. the vat opened wide and clear as liquid began to pour out as the glass lowered. he grabbed his child through the fluids and held her tight.
"You're safe now. Daddy's here." Before he knew it, he turned around to see the insectoid had fallen. forever asleep, it shocked him to his very core!
"W-what?" He then saw a being with armor that looked that of a barbarian, with a helmet that seemed fitting for a motorcyclist.
The being began to clap as he walked closer.
"Poor Thompson!" the being said sarcastically before changing to a serious demeanor.
"If we understood your true intentions maybe we would've put you on a tighter leash, yeah? you fell for an imitation, so it's best you grow up and let it all fade away." the being had explained.
"N-no... NO! I won't let you take her AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN! THIS IS MY LIFE, THE ONE THAT SHE SHOULD'VE SEEN! THERE IS NOTHING FOR HER WITHOUT ME AS I AM NOTHING WITHOUT HER!" The very screams of Thompson echoed as he took the time to run from the side entrance.
All he could hear behind him was shouts of guards, as the radio's intercom screeched from the number of voices coming through the speakers. he crawled, jumped and even fought his way through the impossible to see this through. with the still newborn in his hands, he knew there was no going back.
"I've got you... Nobody will hurt you!" He affirmed his sleeping child. he finally made it outside and ran as fast as he could through the streets. the guards noticed he left and tried to tail him as he hid in their blind spots.
eventually the father called for help, a vehicle stopped as the person inside tried to ask what was wrong, before the father took him out completely and began to take the wheel. setting the child on his lap, he drove and drove. wanting to reach the end of this road, the end of the city he was in. the end of this nightmare.
He eventually left the city's perimeters as he looked through the rear view mirror the see that nobody caught up. up until a loud crash was heard from behind. as the child started to wail from the sheer noise.
"Shh, Shh, it's ok IT'S OK!" he affirmed again. as the baby continued to cry and cry. he looked behind to see a giant monster chase after them, it brought the essence of death and bloodlust onto the road. he knew if he stopped even for a moment he would be killed right where he stood.
He took the most drastic turns to make sure the giant didn't catch up, but eventually he tailed into a dead end.
CRASH!
The car he drove piled into the darkness. as he got out, he looked for anything that could save him.
A voice called.
"Follow, Follow, FOLLOW!" it screamed in the inside of his head; he didn't know what was calling him. but he was desperate enough to give in to the voices. he then began to see a light shine up from the forest darkness. it clouded his judgement as he kept running and running.
there was nothing left to lose. from the distance a towering mass was seen from the tree's, it shined a bright light that could clear the pits of hell and pierce the very heavens.
"Thank you..." He muttered as he closed in on the mass. from the final patch of trees, he saw his reward. it seemed to be a monolith of white; it had cratered the very ground.
"I've never..." he uttered, but nothing else came out as he approached the monolith slowly.
BOOM!
A loud sound was heard as he turned around to see the giant accompanied with armed men. it tried to reason with Thompson.
"HEY! DON'T MOVE ANOTHER INCH OUR I'LL ORDER FOR YOUR EXECUTION!" The giant wanted to strike fear in the man's soul, but how could he? he lost everything, his life, his family, even his dreams were lost as soon as he made this decision.
The guards didn't even get a chance to fire as he ran towards the light..
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The man floated inside the mass; it was comforting as he steered through the light with his now safe daughter. it felt so warm, so free. where were they.
"G-Gaia?" he said weakly, from the void he saw. he imagined this was what the world originally was. just a blank space that used to exist before the cosmos made it whole. it was peaceful enough to see his child sleep in this endless dreamland.
"W-We're safe now" He began to utter with all his might. as he began to hold his child in his arms.
"That's all that matters..."
As he closed his eyes...
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Wake up" a faint voice was heard.
"W-w-w-w-wake up." It began to echo in the mind.
"WAKE UP!" his eyes opened. what seemed to be a nomad was talking to him. he awoke, but he wasn't human anymore.
"Hey little critter, didn't expect you to come out of this speck?" He looked around and away from the nomad, noticing what he once had as hands became claws, as what was once his voice became chirps.
Standing up, the dirt burst around him as the nomad now stood terrified at what he saw. its skin was hard as iron, as an exoskeleton covered what should have been flesh itself. the head of what the nomad saw was more animal than human, not an insect, nor a mammal.
"THE HELL ARE YOU!" The nomad had screamed before running away from the monstrosity that arouse from the very ground, but the monster didn't stand there. it knew something was off. he knew something was off.
The now made monster had stumbled as panic overwhelmed him. he wanted to see if the child was okay, but why did he?
There was no child to worry about, he didn't have kin. maybe he just woke up at the wrong time?
but before he would've left and ran away due to confusion. a loud wail called out, like a star crashing down in the night sky.
The monster ran towards the sound instinctively, rushing through plants and weeds. breaking the very trees that covered the land. when he reached an opening all he saw was a field. a beautiful, lush field of green, as a blinding light shined across the field ricocheting light of the droplets that tainted the very color of the blades of grass. the sky a blue that would seem crystalline instead of any other texture.
The wailing began to become louder as the monster rushed towards the epicenter to see it.
It was a baby, crying for the one thing it needed at this dying time. but the monster didn't know, who was this baby? who was their mother? or father for that fact? he couldn't recognize it as familiar no matter how hard he tried.
he tried to comfort the poor child, but the wailing became louder and louder, he tried to pick the child up...
"Who is that?" A figure that pierced through the shadows running had spoken. it seemed the wailing caught the attention of others. causing the monster to hide. what the monster saw was a woman followed by another child, this one more developed.
The woman looked down to see the baby, picking it up before comforting it in her caring arms.
"Shh, Shh, it's okay." the words she uttered were as soft as silk, with a voice that sounded like the cherubs that would rain down to enlighten that worth saving. all the monster did was hide in the shadows. as the newly found family had rushed off.
The monster came out of hiding to see the pastures once again. but a feeling he never knew of overcame him. maybe it was for the better. maybe it was for the worse. but he knew.
He was free...
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Patricia, Patricia!" A brother called out for his only sister. she was supposed to come back after bringing scrap from the ruins. The brother worried for her as he looked around the ruins she went into to see if there were any traces.
"Damn it... I knew I should've gone with." He beat himself up as he continued to search. but before he could find any hints.
"BOO!" the brother then screamed as he was blasted back from the sheer freight. it was childish but he didn't anticipate was he now saw as his sister to be pulling this trick again.
"Oh, come on! You know I'd never prepare for something like this!" the brother explained as his sister laughed and giggled at the very fact that he was taken aback from something they anticipated daily since they were children.
"What? we do this all the time, it's not like it's going to be any different." Patricia said, though the brother pouted.
"Got me thinking you were long gone! Mother was freezing up over this whole situation!" Patricia giggled again before saying.
"Relax Martin! it's not like I'm croaking sooner or later. plus, if I did, I would come back to haunt you, so it's still fine" Martin then got up mumbling in frustration. relaxing as he alerted Patricia to follow him back to the house.
They knew the steps like the back of their own heads. so, it was child's play to run away in case danger strikes. eventually they made it back to the "house", which so to speak looked more like that of a forgery than an actual abode.
Smoke wandered through the chimney up into the air, with soot staining the walls and exterior of the forge. people crowded that very forge. even if it was in the middle of nowhere!
The children arrived to see their mother working as hard as she could to create tools that fit the masses requirements. people shouted for their requests as she hushed them for more time. the children then passed through the crowd to greet their mother in warm arms.
"Hey mom!" both said, as she was ecstatic and relieved to see her children safe and sound.
"Oh thank goodness! Don't worry me like that." she exclaimed without breath. some of the crowd greeted the children with open arms as they dropped the scrap metal near the forges deposit.
"This should do for another round!" Patricia felt accomplished from the haul, but it wasn't anything grandiose.
"Now's not that time for victory, we've got a lot of work to finish up before you get anything!" the mother had explained, as Patricia and Martin Groaned.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Night eventually fell, as the lights were shining piercing the very windows, The family had a feast and eventually went off to bed.
but instead of following suite, the sibling had already snuck up to the top of the roof to see the stars. they shined as bright as the forge's bonfire, as they burst out for all to see like Statues made from god.
"You know? I always thought you were one of those stars in the sky when we met you" Patricia giggled at her brother's comet.
"Is it because I shine brighter than most?" Martin followed with laugh before explaining.
"Eh? I meant it more literal but, without you being my sister. I wouldn't have found the courage to do most things!" Patricia felt lighter hearing such praise. but something felt off when he said it was more literal.
"Humor me for a second, was I really apart of this family?" The brother Looked at her grimly, but then said.
"It doesn't matter if you're blood or not, I knew you've had your suspicions since you were still 8. but know this, no matter where you came from, no matter where you go. our family stays eternal as the constellations that form the very stars. we'll never be apart, as we'll never be lost." Patricia knew this was true. as all she could say was.
"Y-Yeah, I got that."
