“Tsk.” The man with his brown hair snaps his tongue as he grabs his shortsword, and leaves the cabin, slamming the door shut.
- After Ten Years...
The bustling crowd of the capital all await the great sage’s words, waiting with bated breath. Every single person, nobles or peasants are in this crowd, after all, this is the official event for the Heroes Rites!
The Grand Sage clears his throat through the Voice Amplifier Rune planted on the handheld device. The loud screech this causes silences the entirety of the Crowd.
“Hello everyone!” The old man says in a joyous tone, clearly enough of one to cause the crowd to all cheer. “I’m sure you are curious as to who these 5 heroes are!”
Another loud cheer, plenty loud enough to make many clasp their ears shut, cursing out their neighbors under their breath.
“So first up… You! The Fighter!” He points over to a tall man, clearly built well, the man walks through the crowd, constantly uttering ‘Excuse me’, ‘Sorry’, and other apologies which all lead up to him making it to a little magic circle on the floor, which teleports him up to the stage.
“Your name is… Pallad Binn, yes?” the Old Sage continues on, with a nod from Pallad to signify that is his name. The Old Sage then grabs his cane, and taps Pallad upon the shoulders.
“You are hereby a knight of the Kingdom, and will help these other four conquer the Tower of Nightmares and Bloodshed and-”
The Crowd gets bored as the Old sage states the full title, but Pallad listens intently as the Old Sage grants him a flail, made of Iridium, one of the toughest materials. The little system message says all there is to say about just how good it is.
“Up next is… You! Healer!” The Old Sage points at a shorter woman, which others shift around to allow for a clearer line of sight and a clearer path for her to get to the teleporter. She walks with less apology than Pallad.

She walks up, and receives the exact same speech. Her name is revealed to be Clara, and she’s also a knight of the Kingdom, and will help the other four conquer the tower with too many ‘ofs’.
Clara stands besides Pallad, gleaming pure pride.
“Up next is you, the Judge!” The old sage points at another feminine character, however despite being shorter than the crowd, she holds the proper aura of the judge of the capital. She even wore her uniform, marked with the Imperial Insignia on the back of a cloak.
The judge gets to the teleporter, no one daring to get in the way of Judine, famous for her cruel yet just punishment.
The next is the mage, the Old Sage’s long finger pointing to the Royal Mage, the right hand man of the King. His tall body with blond hair makes him stand out, and while he wears his white cape with golden gilding, not even attempting to cover the white suit he wears everywhere.
No one dared to get in his way, for he was Lord Sornid, the mage who wasn’t just a Lord of his own estate, but his estate was within the capital. Everyone cleared the way to the teleporter, but the Old Sage, wise in his years, treated Sornid the same, technically revoking his Lordship status, to be a mere Knight.
But then the final one was to be called, the Old Sage points to the Bard, which led to two people, dressed the exact same.
“Uhh… Bariton!”
They both began to move.
“Uhh…. Bariton Inodoro!”
They both still moved.
“Hm… Ah curses, I’ll just teleport the right one up here.”
As that happens, the one on the left begins to glow a nice blue hue, as suddenly they are transported up to the front of the stage.
“Yada yada, I said it four other times by now, you get the point, now get going!”
All of them were given Legendary gear, only found deep in the worst dungeons til now, Clara got the Holy Cross, a healing item that boosts healing by 450%, and damage taken reduced to 5%.
Pallad got the Flail of Infinite Doom, a weapon that deals 1000% damage, and breaks through all damage reduction. Judine got the Scale of Infinite Wisdom, an item that allows her to see all Good and Bad deeds the target had done.
Sornid got the Wand of Space, a weapon that increases magical damage by 250x and protective spells reduce damage 25x more. Bariton got a Harp which allowed him to see the future and write sonnets that’ll be known for centuries.
With those five items, they were to make their way to the Tower of way too many Titles…
