The world of One World had long abandoned spellbooks.
In ancient times, mages studied dusty tomes filled with complicated runes and rituals.
But centuries ago, everything changed.
Magic was sealed into Arcana Cards.
Small enchanted cards that contained the power of the elements themselves.
Fire could be summoned with a single card.
Storms could be unleashed with another.
Even legendary beasts could be called forth through powerful summon cards.
But these cards were not used freely.
They were stored inside a magical artifact known as a Card Collection Book.
And every mage received theirs on the same day.
Their eighteenth birthday.
That moment decided their entire future
Far away from the great cities of One World…
Beyond the dry nds known as the Barrens…
There was a small settlement.
Vilge Out-1.
It was a humble pce.
Wooden houses.
Dusty roads.
Fields struggling to grow crops in harsh soil.
Most people here lived simple lives as farmers or traders.
Very few ever became mages.
But today…
The vilge square was filled with excitement.
Dozens of young vilgers had gathered near the rgest building in town.
The Royal Magester Hall.
A stone structure standing proudly in the center of the vilge.
Silver runes were carved into its entrance.
A magical symbol of an open book glowed faintly above the door.
Inside that building waited the Royal Magester.
The man who would grant the Card Collection Books.
The man who would reveal each person's magical affinity.
For the young vilgers standing outside…
This moment would decide everything.
Some hoped to awaken powerful magic.
Others feared they would awaken nothing at all.
Among the crowd stood a young man with messy bck hair and calm dark eyes.
His clothes were simple and worn.
A faded coat hung loosely over his shoulders.
This was Affin.
Unlike many others gathered here, no family stood beside him.
No parents.
No siblings.
Affin had grown up alone.
An orphan.
The vilgers had helped him when they could, but life had never been easy.
He worked wherever work could be found.
Carrying supplies.
Fixing fences.
Helping farmers harvest crops.
Anything that kept him alive.
But through every difficult day…
Affin held onto one dream.
He wanted to become a mage.
Not just any mage.
A powerful one.
The kind who traveled across One World battling monsters and uncovering legendary Arcana Cards.
He stared at the doors of the Royal Magester Hall.
His heart beat faster with every passing second.
"This is it…"
"Everything changes today."
Suddenly the heavy wooden doors creaked open.
A tall man wearing dark ceremonial robes stepped outside.
Silver magic runes glowed faintly across his sleeves.
The vilgers immediately fell silent.
The Royal Magester of Vilge Out-1 had appeared.
His sharp eyes scanned the gathered youths.
"You all know why you are here," he said in a deep voice.
"When a citizen of One World reaches the age of eighteen…"
"They receive their Card Collection Book."
He raised one hand slowly.
Magical energy shimmered in the air around him.
"This book will reveal your true affinity."
"Fire."
"Water."
"Lightning."
"Shadow."
"Light."
"Or any other elemental power."
Murmurs of excitement spread through the crowd.
Some smiled nervously.
Others clenched their fists in anticipation.
The Royal Magester pointed toward the open doors.
"You will enter one at a time."
"Pce your hand on the book."
"And your destiny will reveal itself."
The first vilger stepped forward.
Then the next.
And the next.
One by one they entered the hall.
Each time someone emerged, the crowd exploded with whispers.
"Fire affinity!"
"Water magic!"
"Lightning!"
Cheers and disappointment mixed together.
Some were lucky.
Others less so.
Affin waited patiently in line.
He watched each person enter.
Each person leave.
His heart pounded harder the closer he got to the door.
Finally…
The line disappeared.
The Royal Magester looked directly at him.
"You are the st one."
Affin stepped forward.
The vilgers watched him carefully.
Some knew him as the orphan boy who worked odd jobs.
Few expected anything remarkable.
Affin walked inside the hall.
The door slowly closed behind him.
Inside the room, glowing runes covered the stone floor.
In the center stood a pedestal.
And resting on it…
Was the Card Collection Book.
It pulsed softly with magical energy.
The Royal Magester stepped beside it.
"Pce your hand on the book."
Affin nodded.
He approached slowly.
His heart felt like thunder in his chest.
This was the moment that would decide everything.
Slowly…
He pced his hand on the cover.
The moment his skin touched the book—
The runes across the hall ignited with light.
The book began to glow.
Magical energy surged through the room.
The Royal Magester frowned slightly.
"Strange…" he muttered.
The glow intensified.
The book trembled.
Then suddenly…
Words burned themselves across the cover.
Not Fire.
Not Water.
Not Lightning.
The Royal Magester's eyes widened.
"Impossible…"
The glowing letters revealed Affin's affinity.
NEUTRAL.
And at that moment…
Something inside the book moved.
Something that had never appeared in a Card Collection Book before.
