As Sae Yokai looked down on the ten lifeless bodies, their glossed over eyes reflected the afternoon sun. Then he said to himself, “What could I have possibly done to avoid this? You guys came up to me asking about where the “Blade of the Rolling Sea” can be found and I told you I didn’t know. You did this to yourself. I can’t be in the wrong.” After saying this Sae bent down and dislodged his knife out of one the assailant’s head. That man, Sae Yokai, is a pillar of power in this world of darkness and deception. Where humanity has been able to draw out the latent potential of its soul. This is the world that Sae Yokai has come to know and has come to mold to his will.

  As Sae walked away from the bloody scene he created he realized that the attacks sent against him have been increasing as of late. He thought that his status as one the seven pillars of power would’ve been enough to deter these attacks but seems like people just don’t care. But he didn’t really care as no matter how hard they tried they never really succeeded. As he left the forest and entered into a city in Tokyo his stomach started to grumble, and since he did such a great job killing those assailants he decided to treat himself to some ramen. After he consumed his meal he decided that staying at an inn wouldn’t be the worst idea as not only was he getting tired of walking, he was also a wanderer so it’s not like he had a home. As he approached the nearby inn his phone would start ringing. As soon as he answered the phone, a Soul Finder Captain said “Sae come to , there’s a Sage level incident and you’re the only one with clearance to take care of it.” In response Sae said “So you’re telling me there’s no one else to deal with this threat? Dear God, you guys need to get your stuff together. I won’t always be in the area to deal with these things you know?” Sae then hung up and bolted off to take care of the threat. Sae got there in under two minutes and what he saw was nothing short of a massacre. Soul Finders who are supposed to take care of these types of things, were either dead on the ground or injured.

  Sage Level Threat- (It is the fifth highest danger rank out a ten level system with a level Death being the highest threat level)

  Soul Finders- (They are the police force of the civilized world and they are privately and publicly funded)

  Sae spotted what or to be more specific, who started this threat. An Oni-masked figure was in the center of it all with several knocked out bodies around the person, these bodies were indeed the bodies of the fallen soul finders that had confronted her. Sae, in a burst of speed rushed at the masked figure at such speeds that he became a blur and he then used the momentum to dropkick the figure into a wall but he wasn’t done there as he ripped the person from the wall and threw them up into the air. In retaliation they charged up Soul Energy in their palm and fired it off at Sae who dodged it with ease but he felt a hint of concern due to the person’s Seele

  Even though everyone can use soul energy, most people cannot control soul energy in its purest form as doing that involves learning an advanced soul viewing technique that frankly most people cannot learn. Sae and all the other pillars of power can use and control soul energy but that’s because of their innate potential or their technique allowing for it to be ingrained into their psyche. This is why he was getting concerned. From the masked figures' movements the person had to be young and on top of that from their soul energy signature Sae came to the conclusion that they couldn’t be more than 25. The figure then charged up a ball of energy and fired off five beams of energy that hit Sae directly, then followed that up by using a beam of energy to push themselves towards Sae and kick him. Sae however blocked the kick with his knife and then kicked her in her face which sent her into the ground face first.

  At this point the mask was fully broken and the girl's face was fully revealed. Even though her face was bruised and bloodied her purple hair stood out as it flew in the air. Sae, who was pretty confused, asked in a playful voice, “What’s your name brat?” “Tch, my name is Hymiki.” The girl said coldly. “ZIP!” Sae would appear in front of Hymiki’s face and rocked her with a powerful punch which pushed her back a couple of yards. “You make for one amazing punching bag. You should be proud!” Sae would say while looking at Hymiki who was catching her breath. When Hymiki got up she thought to herself, “He hasn’t even used any of his soul energy and yet he’s been treating me like a punching bag and I have yet to land a proper hit on him.” She wanted to run away and rest up. It was human nature to preserve oneself but she didn’t. Her soul, the inner voice that kept her company through all those lonely times told her to not run. So she didn’t, she would stand her ground here even if it killed her. Seeing this a smirk would start to creep on Sae’s face as he said, “You know I don’t usually use my Seele on just anyone but since you insist on staying I’ll give you a peak okay? Blade Shift:The Blade of the Rolling Sea.” Hymiki’s left arm was then cleanly cut off in an instant and then she felt several shallow slashes all over her body. “How did you-” While Hymiki was uttering that statement Sae impaled her in her right shoulder with a katana that had several ocean waves imprinted on the blade.

  Seele-( It is German for soul and in this universe a Seele is the ability granted to every person by their soul by God.)

  Sae didn’t stop the assault as he kicked her in the shin shattering it and then hit her with the butt of his sword on her head which incapacitated her completely. As the dust began to settle a tall Guynese man with dark grey hair shouted, “Move in and secure the assailant!" The man’s name is Crangston and he is one of the ten heads of Soul Finder operations. Before the Soul Finders could pick up the girl's body Sae had already picked her up and pointed his katana’s at them as he said, “Two things. For one the girl is coming with me and two, why the hell are you here Crangston? The chaos was caused by a Sage level threat and I know how the Soul Finders work, you would’ve never come here just for her, so spill the beans.” Cranston took a deep breath and then said, “Well if you must know I came here myself as there’s been reports of increased activity from Ira, the right hand man of the 8th finger of death.” “So that maniac is on the loose again eh? Well that checks out in all honesty but I wanna check this out for myself cause I can’t let him feel like he can do whatever he likes.” Sae would say this as he put Hymiki over his shoulder and prepared to leave. “His last known location was near the Tearful tower which as you would know is a couple miles out from Shinjuku. I’ll stay here to rally the troops and their morale just in case we have to fight and also make sure that kid doesn’t leave your sight, Sae.” Crangston would say this to a smirking Sae. “Woosh!” With that sound Sae would off alongside the knocked out Hymiki.

  After two hours of travel from Tokyo to a forest near Shinjuku, Sae saw the Tearful Tower. Sae who felt a bit of nostalgia, “After all these years you still remain tall and strong unlike some other people…” He got a little sad but then he realized that Hymiki was starting to wake up. Sae then said to Hymiki, “Rise and shine!” Hymiki in a dazed and confused voice would say,“Why does my body hurt so much? WAIT LET ME GO!” Hymiki tried to fire off a blast at Sae with her left arm but she would then realize that it was completely gone and her body then started to go through a burning sensation which caused her a great amount of pain.

  Hymiki in a scream of agony would say, “AGHHH! IT HURTS! IT HURTS LIKE HELL!” Sae in a calm and almost uncaring voice would say, “Did you really forget what happened back inside of Tokyo? I decimated you with the Blade of The Rolling Sea. I avoided all of your vital points so you wouldn’t die and I cauterized any wounds so you wouldn’t bleed out and now that you’re awake your body is starting to heal itself using Soul Energy.”

  Then Sae and Hymiki would hear a person rushing towards them screaming these words, “SO YOU’RE THE PILLAR OF BALANCE HUH SAE?! MY MASTER WILL BE HAPPY WHEN I BRING BACK YOUR HEAD!”
