Arrogance ending in shock

The scene unfolds before Professor Era as she looks at the two characters standing in the middle of the training area.

Cyril Valerian is her student, and she has high expectations for him. After all, he is from a branch of the royal family of the Astrian Empire; innate talent grows in them like bamboo after the rain. Although he is inferior to the royal princess studying in the first year, Eliana Valerian, in terms of innate talent and the resources allocated to her, he is already at a level close to the geniuses of this generation. His strength cannot be ignored, especially since he is one year older and has already received the blessing of heaven and earth. Although he said he would not use Mana, Cyril's body has already been baptized by the blessing of heaven and earth; every strike of his is accompanied by a resonance of the surrounding Mana, whether intentional or unintentional, wreaking havoc on one's defense and increasing his attack power.

Standing ten meters in front of him is Eon Darkis. The son of a duke from a kingdom whose name she cannot even remember due to its insignificance, sprawling on the edges of the Eastern Continent... an anomaly invited by the Dean himself to the academy. Whether she wanted to or not, Eon had already caught her attention with his overwhelming strength and sharpened combat instinct despite his inability to use Mana and his young age. She was already admiring his persistence despite the difficulty of the path... she could only have a hint of pity in her eyes as she looked at him.

The inability to use Mana is not rare; sometimes it is due to a defect in the Dantian or just a dey in awakening one's blood energy. But there is no problem in Eon's Dantian, and a long time has already passed since he awakened his blood energy, yet he cannot use Mana. He can only use his blood energy to stimute the aura and use it. But this stimution is weaker than those who use Mana to stimute the aura into power. And everyone who walked this path, all of them without exception throughout the known history of the empire and the Eastern Continent, which exceeds 100,000 years, none of them can defeat a Red-rank Mana user. There is the end of their path. Therefore, she could only feel sorrow for Eon; as a genius, this was worse than killing him as he sees his peers increasing in strength while he is stuck at the same level. She could not understand the reason for the Dean bringing him here.

While she was deep in her thoughts, oblivious to the murmurs of her css, Cyril's voice rang out in a tone of arrogance in the arena: "I heard that you won first pce only by relying on aura; it seems the members of the younger generation are indeed incompetent. Well, as a student older than you, I will not bully you; I will allow you 3 free attacks before I strike back, so you don't say to the younger generation that the older generation bullies them."

The sound of some ughter and sighs rose from the other students at Cyril's arrogance in front of the newcomer. They turned their attention to Eon who was standing opposite him. Eon's eyes gleamed with a cunning spark when he looked at Cyril, then he said in a tone of exaggerated respect: "Really, senior? I was indeed afraid that you would not give me a chance to show my skills before you actually strike me. I agreed to a duel only to expand my horizons and see peak after peak."

Suddenly, Cyril had a bad premonition, then he ignored it and smiled mockingly at Eon: "Don't worry, I don't like bullying the younger generation, I have my pride after all; I only wanted to see the strength of the younger student that Professor Era is indeed praising."

Eon's smile widened when he heard his reply and thought to himself: "Is there anything better than bullying a noble from the royal family without him being able to respond?" Then he said to Cyril: "Good, senior, get ready, I will attack now."

Cyril answered indifferently: "It doesn't matter, just attack with all your strength; don't bme me for my cruelty if you waste your chances."

Professor Era could only put her hand on her forehead as she saw that Eon's acting had already fooled Cyril; she didn't know if he was stupid or arrogant, but what she knows for sure is that he will indeed suffer a difficult time.

Suddenly, Eon's aura flickered bluish-white before he disappeared from the students' sight. Before they understood what was happening, they saw Eon had appeared in front of Cyril, whose eyes widened as he saw Eon's fist, surrounded by intensely concentrated aura, heading at a worrying speed toward his chest. He scrambled to circute Mana around his arms and pced them in front of his chest; he barely succeeded before Eon's fist settled on his crossed arms.

Before he understood what was happening, his feet rose from the ground and he felt pain spreading through his arms and chest. Then he saw the world spinning as he moved away from Eon at a very high speed. Then he hit the ground and bounced off it several times before his body made a path and then stopped. He noticed that Eon was still in a punching position, but the strange thing was that he was already 100 meters away from him.

An involuntary sound came out of him expressing his shock: "Huh?"
