Excerpts from Trey Lancaster's Handbook: The Official Doctor's Apprentice (by Choice)
-Touching anything on Francis's desk counts as a crime.
-Punishment includes: death glare, lecture, actual lecture with diagrams, and silent treatment (the worst one)
-Never say "It doesn't hurt that much." Francis will say "Good. Then we can clean it deeper."

Patient Case #125 – Luna Atkins (the Stubborn)
-Patient claim: "I'm fine." Always.
-Reality: Not fine. Very visible bruise high on her cheekbone.
-Francis sat her down immediately and checked for concussion.
-She kept insisting, "It's fine. I've survived worse."
-Francis froze for a full thirty seconds. There was something ugly in the silence.
-Me: "Just because you're used to it doesn't mean you have to live with it. Let him treat you."
-It came out more serious than I meant.
-She finally stopped fighting us and let Francis work.
-Apprentice note: stubborn, dangerous, keeps acting like pain is normal.
-I hate that she thinks that way.
-No, I'm not writing that last part down.
