We just reached the elven territory. King Yerrie has no power here, meaning if anything goes wrong... But they won't. Marty doesn't have any more old friends to visit! We can finally go straight for the colossal. We're stopping in a small vilge called Gyrie for a day or two. Then, the man who sent the letter will be waiting for us near their old vilge.
The elven territory is a lot different from the giant territory. The trees are bright and it has this magical feel to it. Compared to the darker region of the orcs and giants. Maybe this colossal just hates beautiful things.
We reached Gyrie around sunset. It's weird for people to see such a rge army, not to mention how they're all fairies. Elves look just like humans! Their only difference is their ears. Though, they do seem smaller. And I can barely see any males here. Even the ones I have seen are mostly human. I guess, elves just don't have baby boys. There's a rge temple in the middle of the vilge. There's a staircase that goes to the top.
"We haven't been here for some years." King Yerrie chuckles.
"We haven't traveled from fairy territory since we had little Teir." The queen says.
I wonder how many pces these three have been. This whole trip has just been them reminiscing. How rge was their party anyways? I know it's Marty, king Yerrie, Frank, and the queen. But I thought Marty had mentioned somebody else once.
"We should all go up, for old times sake." Marty says.
"All hundred fifty of us?" Pyra jokes.
Marty scoffs and leans back in his seat.
"No Pyra, just us six." Marty sighs.
"Has Marty ever heard a joke before?" Pyra whispers to me.
We both chuckle a little. Marty seems to be more serious recently. Maybe Frank has something to do with it? Speaking of, what happened to him? Marty just kind of chucked one of his closest friends out the back. Now that I'm thinking, why was Marty friends with that guy? I turn to the back of our carriage. Frank is sitting on one of our carriages. Marty must have tossed him to a soldier.
We reach a rge inn. The receptionist refused to let this many people stay here. Since this was the only inn, we'll have to sleep in tents. That's fine with me, I'm tired of sleeping in our carriage. The wood floors hurt. The group heads out into the forest. We set up a nice little camp, me and Marty have to watch over Frank. We set him next to Marty's bed.
"Just don't kiss me at night!" Frank says.
"I wouldn't kiss somebody like you!" Marty ughs.
Maybe Frank has alternative reasons for his sexism. I won't judge him, it's just weird that he'd hate women for his own preferences. Me and Marty leave him there. The king decided to takes us over to the temple. I wonder who they worship there! I really hope it's not Loki... I'd probably tear the pce up by accident.
"Have you ever been to a pce like this?" Pyra asks me.
"No, I've never really been religious." I say.
"Oh, so you don't follow the church of faith?" She asks.
Right... She doesn't know I'm a hero. She'll figure it out eventually.
"Well, I can teach you how to pray." She tells me.
"You still owe me some magic lessons." I reminder her.
"I forgot about that! I'll teach you something soon, I promise." She says.
The ground starts shaking and I hear a loud roar. The group stops for a second. What the hell was that! Could the colossal be closer than we thought? It should still be a few days away from us. Marty and the king continue walking, I guess they aren't questioning it like I am. Me and Pyra jog up behind them.
"We better not stay too long." Marty tells king Yerrie.
"It's still far. This vilge would have been gone a long time ago." The king says.
That was loud... They're talking like a car just drove by. Maybe this thing is a real threat.
We reach the top of the temple. There's a rge statue on the top. There's a small pque at the bottom. It says, "Here ts Balder, god of magic." It doesn't look anything like Balder! Maybe he stole the first magic god's name? The others all get onto their knees. I follow close behind them.
"Just say your deepest desire." Pyra whispers to me.
I don't know what I could desire. I guess going home could be nice. I would also like Loki to never contact me again. Yeah, that's my wish! I never want to speak with Loki again! We all stand up and go back down the stairs. We reach the camp. Everybody is freaking out, people are running around. One soldier runs up to us.
"We're ready to move sir!" They shout.
"No need, we're staying here for the night." The king dismisses.
"But sir..." The stutter.
The king walks back to his tent. We all walk into ours, leaving the soldiers all standing. A lot of them have their mouths wide open. Me and Marty enter our tent, Frank is slumped down in his chair. He looks back up at us, tears forming in his eyes.
"Where are you taking us!" Frank cries.
"On a small mission." Marty shrugs.
"Small! That's no regur giant yell. You're gonna kill us all." Frank shouts.
Marty shrugs him off and ys down in bed. He turns away from Frank. Frank turns to me.
"Please kid! You've got to let me go." He cries.
"That's not happening." I chuckle.
I push Frank's chair over, making him fall to the ground. He groans before falling asleep, or he got knocked out. I can't really tell. I guess I should just go to bed. I y down, putting my head on my pillow. My vision goes bck.
I wake back up in a small white room. A recognizable man leaning over me.
"Surprise!" He cheers, "Yeah, those wish thingys really don't work."
Loki has a rge grin on his face. It almost reminds me of Frank.
"What do you want?" I ask.
"Well, I just wanted to say... I'm really tired of you hating me. I'm just trying to help!" Loki cries, "But! I do have a little surprise for you."
Loki circles around me. I follow him with my head, he gets behind me and a small woman is standing next to him. They have a cocky smile, and are holding their hips with one hand.
"Who's that?" I ask.
"You don't recognize her! It's Maria!" Loki sighs.
What! How is she alive? She doesn't look anything like she did before.
"Caleb! I've been wanting to congratute you for a long time." She grabs my hand.
"Why do you look like that?" I shout.
He face is far different. She has darker eyes and a smaller figure. She has bck hair, instead of her old blond hair.
"Loki gave me a little make over." She says, "I just wanted to look like..."
She stops talking. Her and Loki lock eyes. What are these two pnning.
"Caleb... She's going back to the human world with you!" Loki says.
"Why! She tried to kill me." I say.
"That was before Kara was our enemy. She killed the blood goddess, did you know that?" Loki says.
Yeah I knew that! Why should these two care anyways? They can just live here and do whatever they want, no reason to mess with the human world.
"If you don't want her, she doesn't have to join you." Loki adds.
"I'm don't care about that! I just don't want her to try and attack me." I say.
"Or you don't want Pyra to find out you have another woman in your life." Maria chuckles.
Why is she brining up Pyra? What are these two pnning? I already don't want anything to do with Loki, now I have to deal with Maria too.
"I'll just send her to the nd of gods. You two can work together without being next to each other." Loki says.
"Fine! You better not be pnning something!" I shout.
Loki rolls his eyes. He walks up to me and taps my forehead. He pushes me onto my back and I wake back up in my bed. I must have been sweating, my sheets are a little wet. Frank is sitting up straight. How'd he get up?
"Bad dream?" Frank ughs.
"You don't need to know!" I say.
I get out of bed and grab some clothes. I take off my shirt and turn around. I see Frank staring at me. I forgot his about his little kink.
"Do you surround yourself in maids to hide your true identity?" I ask him.
"What are you talking about?" He shouts.
"y'know... the whole, guy thing." I say.
I pull a clean shirt over my head. Frank is tapping his foot aggressively. He grits his teeth.
"I do not like men! Marty is the only person like that!" He yells.
What is he talking about? I don't really believe him anyways. Maybe he doesn't hut bounties for the reward. I walk over to Frank and kick him to the ground. This time, I'm sure I had knocked him out.
