Chapter 124: Turned Tables

  Thud-!

It was a very swift work. All that was left on the former Mahito was his severed body parts. Soon, they disappeared upon being exorcised.

“This move works universally, I see…”

Aleph stared at the bits of Mahito’s body pletely disappearing. His gaze then turned into the half-burnt Nanami.

“Ahem. It seems like you got in a huge trouble.”

  “...I did.”

To Aleph, who was a pletely unknown Sorcerer to Nanami, the tter gave a dry reply. The tter watched as Aleph’s sword disappeared in his grasp.

“You might be w who I am, but that is not important.”

Step by step, Aleph walked closer to him.

When he was only a few meters away from Nanami, the tter’s burns started healing visibly. It resulted in him, who was about to doze off, tain the crity of his mind.

By the time Aleph walked past him, he was pletely healed. It was a very swift operation of reversed curse teique, leaving Nanami baffled about his experiences.

“Just like how we only save those who want to be saved…” Aleph stopped walking and gave out his thoughts. “...people who allowed themselves to be trapped would never be able to move forward.”

Aleph’s words made him pause. Coupled with the ret events here in Shibuya, Nanami knew he had to rethink his life decisions.

“Sometimes, you just have to make up your mind, Nanami-san.”

  Tap.

  Tap.

  Tap.

Only when Nanami could not hear his footsteps did he snap out of his daze. His thoughts turned plicated as he recalled his deceased friend.

Aleph’s words were something that his friend would say, too.

  ‘Did he… know me?’

  *****

  ‘That should be good.’

Aleph recalled Kashimo’s words. It was from him that Aleph heard about Kento Nanami’s life. He was someohat everybody respected, at least that was the case for the people around Kashimo.

‘The Ratio Teique inally beloo him. It should’ve been good enough for most enemies…’

He was surprised when he heard how Nanami didn’t realize Domain Expansion before he died. Aside from talent, the most important thing was mi. If a person did not have a strong sense of self—capable of making decisions they won’t regret—they would never learn Domain Expansion.

  These things pinpointed Nanami’s problems.

In this case, Aleph’s words served to propel him to that realization.

  Sou-!

  Sou-!

  Sou-!

  As he walked, he came across dozens of deformed humans. They were settled by the flying Knight Killer. He tactfully stopped using Juezhao to exert pressure on his surroundings. While he did so, he operated Sphere Boundary to hide his presenbsp;

To others, he seemed like a ghost.

‘Sukuna and Mahito are dead. All that was left is to kill Kenjaku and free Satojo.’

  B2.

  B3.

  …

Soon, Aleph arrived in the fifth underground level. He stepped out of the funior.

‘...There are really people who want to see hell.’

The se that greeted him ure age.

Uhe previous floors, the entire floor was filled with blood. The amount of casualties in this pce was estimated to be thousands. The people who use the station daily do not go below two million people. The human traffi this area numbered ihousands, which were the casualties just now.

Using Elemental Sight, Aleph khat only several dozen people irain mao escape out of the thousand or so. Add to that the casualties caused by Sukuna’s battle against Jogo, it could easily reach ten thousand.

  ‘They weren’t fast enough…’

Thinking of the sorcerers who tried to evacuate people, Aleph only let out a sigh.

Then again, if it was pared to all the atrocities made by Herrschers, it pales in parison. That alone numbed Aleph’s supposed rea to the deaths of thousands.

  ‘...It is what it is.’

The world remained dark blue in his eyes. He didn’t kill any deformed humans he came across. He only focused on searg for Kenjaku’s trails by looking at the past.

The sixth Herrscher did not escape Aleph, and so did he. In the waiting area stood a man wearing a buddhist priest attire.

‘Hm… Space around him is distorted.’

Kenjaku stood still with his eyes closed. Through unknown means, he was able to ‘grasp’ the gravity around him. The teique was still inactive, but it would e off the moment someoeps into it.

Any unsuspeg people would’ve fallen into his trap.

Unfortunately, Aleph wasn’t the unsuspeg person.

‘This move is kind of like a panic button now.’

The sheathed bde in his hands was unleashed once again.

  *****

  Prison Realm.

It was a cursed tool made of the remains of a strong monk. Its sealing ability was so potent that it sealed Satojo who was the stro porary sorcerer. The inside sisted of a small and gested pce made of red flesh.

  “Hum?”

inally, Satoru was rexing i, with his back id against the wall. The moment, he found himself in Shibuya.

His body floated as he remained in that leisurely pose.

“This isn’t the genie I expected.”

With a “tsk”, the man who freed Satoru crossed his arms.

  His words took Satoru’s attention.

“You are an unfamiliar face.” The tter ented. “It’s beyond our knowledge that a strong sorcerer resent overseas.”

“What I say? Maybe you haven’t looked enough.”

  “Oh?”

  Tap.

Satoru’s feet touched the ground. His hands were pced in his pockets. His blue pupils looked directly at Aleph’s purple eyes.

‘Yep, this is it. I don’t know this guy.’

It was baffling. Satoru thought he had scoured the entire world thhly, yet he missed Aleph, or so he believes.

  Absurd cursed energy reserves.

A pupil simir to his Six Eyes.

  Most importantly…

“I left him with an intact corpse. That’s why I… you know, only cut his head off.”

Not far away from them was a corpse with a severed neck. Its head was missing its brain. Kenjaku… rather, Suguru Geto’s eyes were closed.

Satoru walked up to it. He was silent for a while before he looked towards Aleph again.

“So, what are you pnning now, Mister-Fn-Sorcerer?”

“Go home and sleep. This day was quite tiring, to be ho.” Aleph replied as he stretched his arms. “I assume I leave peacefully, Mister Stro?”

“Yeah. Feel free to do so.”

Satoru waved his hand at him as if he was driving him away.

“Oh, that’s right. I dealt with Sukuna.” Aleph dropped a bombshell casually. “You deal with the rest. o thank me.”

For the first time, Satoru experienced how others felt while they were around him.
