When he awoke, it HURT. Scratch can hear the moaning of his friends as they woke up to a horrible headache.

  "What happened, and where's Shadow?" Thunderbolt wondered.

  Howl groaned as he looked around. Scratch looked too, and sure enough Shadow wasn't there. He noticed that they were in the same room where the map was. Something caught his eye, the hole in the wall was bolted in, as if someone hammered it shut!

  Shit, they were locked in!

  Scratch groaned from his pounding head as he managed to get up and walk over to the covered up hole. Thunderbolt looked over to where Scratch stood and noticed the issue.

  "Are we seriously trapped? Shit!" Thunderbolt exclaimed.

  "Shh! Someone might hear us!" Scratch whispered.

  How could anyone have accomplished this? Was Scarlett around? What about the wolves, I thought they wouldn't be able to do this! Suddenly, his mind flashed back to the previous dream of a hooded figure transforming herself into a beast right in front of him. Could've that been her? Makes sense as to how they went unconscious in the first place!

  "Guys, help me look around for a gap or anything. We've GOT to get out of here!" Scratch declared.

  Howl climbed on top of the desk to reach the window, which wasn't very big for them to squeeze through. "This would've been easier if we were human."

  "I know right?" Thunderbolt said.

  "Shit!" Scratch whispered loudly this time. "There's no way out!"

  "Oh my God, we're doomed!" Thunderbolt panicked.

  "No we are not doomed, shut the fuck up!" Scratch exclaimed.

  "Sorry..." Thunderbolt said once again.

  Howl sighed. "NOW what are we going to do?"

  Suddenly, the boys heard the sound of the window opening. They turned around and saw a familiar freckled face.

  "Valerian!" Thunderbolt shouted with glee.

  Immediately she put her finger to her lips.

  "Aren't we glad to see you!" Scratch continued to whisper. "I thought you weren't allowed anywhere beyond the woods!"

  "Well, because of you guys, I don't have any choice now, do I?"
