'What the hell! How could she do something like that, that slut. I always knew she loved pretending and acting pitiful but never knew she was this bad. And what's up with brother Hanbing, he always acts like such a gentleman and I never expected him to do something like this, I thought he really loved you.' she said angrily and I smiled at her reaction.

  'I know right, its scary how as people grow they change, I don't want to believe he has always been like this because that will just be wrong, that means our whole childhood was a lie which is just depressing.'

  'Yeah, as for Ningyi, I always felt like because of her family situation we all have to be a little bit more considerate to her, that's why I always gave in to her and let her have her way but I never really saw that she always pretended. Guess I am not as smart as I thought.'

I always knew something was wrong with her, that's why we never get along, she is older than me but always have a way of talking like I am bullying her. Like she is always the most pure and pitiful one in all scenario and what do you mean by her family situation, her family may not be as wealthy as ours but at least she has the most normal and loving family among us all. Is she more pitiful than you who has just a grandpa or me with my divorced parents and their constant arguments or brother Jietang's strict and stuck up parents. Why do you make excuses for her.'

  I quietly thought about what she said and realized she was right, why did I always feel like Ningyi needed more care and pampering, I just could not tell why. 'You are right, but why do I always feel like she was weaker and needed more care and love? Am confused, what makes her so weak in my mind and why should I always protect her.'

  'That's what I am saying, that is why we were never close, since we were young everybody always treats her like an egg, whenever something happens she will just say a line and viola everybody will be running around to protect her, only brother Jietang didn't really take up that role but I don't know if its because he saw her for who she really was or because he was closer to us since birth and saw himself as our protector. The rest of the crew, even our classmates at school, everybody wants to protect pure Ningyi and not let the evil world touch her.' She said while rolling her eyes.

  I smiled at that, 'Our princess must have felt so wrong then.' I said while patting her head. 'You have no idea, once when we were kids we where playing together and a disagreement came up about who would be the princess and I really wanted to be the princess. You where off reading as usual and while arguing pitiful Ningyi let out a tear and everybody ran to protect her like I was bullying her but it was just a simple argument but their reaction really made me sad. Later when you found out you gave me your tiara your grandpa bought for you and said I would always be a princess, since then I decided you were my best friend but you always wanted to hang out more with Ningyi, I was so jealous.' She said with a pout on her face and I smiled at that.

  'Guess our princess was jealous, I remember that day. You sulked for hours, that was when I started calling you princess. You know if I am not included in something I can stay for days just reading, Ningyi always invited me out and I just couldn't say no to her, that's why it seemed like we always hung out together, but don't worry. I am here now to pamper our cute princess.' I said while pinching her cheeks.

  'You better, not just anybody can be my room mate, you have to serve me properly okay.' 'Yes your highness.' I said while laughing

  She was so spoilt, our breakfast was served and we ate while joking away like that before heading to the mall. While shopping my phone started ringing, I checked and saw it was Ningyi calling me, I decided not to pick up the call but she just would not stop and kept calling continuously. 'Who is that?' Mei Mei asked me as she walked to me, she had gone to change back to her clothes before we walked to the counter to pick up all the items we bought. 'Its Ningyi, don't know why she is calling me.'

  'Well pick up so you will know why, no need to keep ignoring her calls like this. She will just keep pestering you, you just have to make things clear to her.' I thought about it for a moment before picking up the call when the phone started ringing again.

  'Xue Li, where are you. I have been trying to reach you all day, are you avoiding me? I don't know if I have offended you but if I did please don't be angry.' she said with a pitiful voice which made Mei Mei make a barfing sound and I smiled, guess I know what she means now.

  'I am shopping with Mei Mei for school items.' 'Why did you guys not let me know, I would have loved to go with you. I know I may not be able to afford the same items but I could still point out good outfits for you.' Don't know why she was making it seem like we snubbed her although we have never done so. 'It was a last minute plan and we are heading home now.'

  'Oh, okay. Lets have dinner together, there is a lot we need to catchup on.' 'Okay, lets meet at Lucky hotel, I will call in and make a reservation now.' 'Okay, bye.' she said and ended the call.

  'We are going together, you may need backup to handle this situation.' I gave a nod in confirmation and we went to collect our items together.
