Avery, a British-French girl, has long been in love with her sister-in-law, Roman. One day at her drama school’s festival, she sees Roman kissing a classmate and is left heartbroken. She is comforted by a mysterious silver-haired student who turns out to be Claire Haskins, a famous stage actress. Hoping to distance herself from Roman, Avery runs away from home and begins a new life with the support of Claire and her classmates. As Avery becomes involved in a school theater competition and forms bonds with many talented students, she slowly finds friendship, healing, and a sense of self beyond her painful first love. This work was ranked 42nd among roughly 2,000 submissions in the 7th Alphapolis Light Literature Awards. Featured in Everystar’s New Works Selection (Japan, January 2023)
