The Tendu lordship is pretty close to the capital, and here we are at it, 5 hours have passed since we left the monster camp.

  “Sia, where is the lord?”- Even after entering the Tendu Lordship, all I can see is forest everywhere.

  !The nd of the Tendu lordship is occupied by forest. The forest is like a maze and the roads to any vilge or city are very hard to find. This is mostly for making war very hard. If someone were to send troops here it would be very hard to find even one vilge. There are numerous traps set through the forest .!

  “Ok, we understand. But do you know the way to where Lord Tendu is, or where he most likely might be?”

  !He is most likely to be in Tendu City doing paperwork. I suggest you get there as soon as possible. I have sent the fastest route to the 2 of you!

  I still don’t know how Sia does this. How does information transfer work in the first pce?

  !I can transfer information from one person to another via the telepathic link, anything that works for sending information I can use to send information.!

  “I still don’t understand it, but I think I get some of it”

  Hana and I started to walk toward Tendu City. The maze-like forest is hard to navigate even with Sia’s help. I don’t want to bore anyone with the details of how we managed to get there. There were many points where we swear we felt watched by something or someone.

  We are one of these points again.

  !Someone is actually following us. I can confirm that 100%, the person is closing in on the 2 of you!

  “Hana, you know what you have to do”- She nodded and we are now standing back to back.

  I let my shadow tendrils go and search the surrounding area for anyone who might be tracking us.

  My shadow tendrils don’t seem to detect anything, or maybe the person tracking us is faster or has the ability to see shadow tendrils. If that’s so, it’s unlikely that they are human.

  “Come out, we know you are there”- I am pretty confident in calling them out since Hana is here with me.

  “Well, what are you doing here, in my ir? I don’t see humans here that often. You 2 are the very first humans I see”- A shadow demon emerged in front of us. What skill is she using?

  “Ohhh, about that”- I snapped my fingers and our disguises fell.

  “Well, seems that you possess a primordial skill. Now, who are the 2 of you and what are you doing here?”- She sat down and looked at us.

  Looking down at my feet our shadow tendrils and fighting each other.

  “I am Hana Tomura and he is Hikaru Tanaka.”- She looks around wide-eyed.

  “Well, did a new Demon Lord emerge? How could have I missed it? Wait, that isn’t right”- She continued to stare at us.

  “What isn’t right?”- I tried to ask as politely as possible.

  “You 2 are Sproutling Holders. But that doesn’t expin the names. I can see the aura of the sprouting in you two when I took a better look.”- She is standing in pce looking perplexed.

  “Well, the truth is. We are reincarnations. We were brought here at the same time as the summoning of the heroes that happened in Welcia. That should expin our names”

  “This is unusual. Well, sorry for the te introduction, I am Carmi, the right-hand woman of the former demon lord. Only if Akira would have been here”

  “You know Akira? Right, he worked for the former demon lord as well”- A smile appeared on her face once I mentioned him.

  “Yes, do you know him?”- She got up and walked closer to us.

  “Well, yeah, we do know him. If you want to meet him, we can guide you to him. The more allies we have, the better”- I hope we can get her on our side. Maybe she can act as a repcement for the Tendu lord.

  “Well, I want to do that as soon as possible. I will help you guys with what you need to do here. My guess is that you need to take down this kingdom along with the lords, right?”- She catches on quickly, that’s good.

  “Yes. If you know any information that will help us take down lord Tendu. We are grateful for any bit of information that you can give.”- Hana smiled at Carmi, she was the one doing the talking here. Somehow I mess up every time I talk with someone and make it worse, but when Hana is talking, she can make things work.

  “Yes, to begin with: Tendu is an otherworlder just like you 2. She got transported here along with her children, she has 2 twin girls, aged 15. Tendu has been here for around 10 years and she is pretty well-versed in monster species. We can go and check to see if she is home. She seems like a reasonable person”

  The 3 of us got going on the road to her mansion only to find it empty when we arrived there. It seems strange, the house is so close to where Carmi was that it doesn’t make sense, we at least should have seen them go. The pce looks like it had been left recently, with warm food on the table. A few books that contain magic theory for humans and some romance novels.

  “Strange. Maybe they have gone out somewhere. Let’s find them.”

  Carmi looks worried about Tendu, I don’t know how should I feel about her. I don’t want to be that kind of person, but we can use her family as leverage for her to help us, but that might lead to other issues. Better make her trust us in other ways. Show her that monsters aren’t bad people.

  I am contempting everything that I have done until this point. My actions might contradict my words, but what I did, was purely for Hana and her survival. I know I promised myself that I will make this world a better pce and I pn to keep that promise. But I don’t know if it will be worth it in the end.
