The next day:

  This time Hana is talking with Lord Tendu, she is ensuring things go smoothly. I am on guard duty outside. Things just don’t feel right today. It’s almost like something bad is going to happen to us and we need to be prepared for whenever it might happen.

  The fact that I forced Lord Garoda into a demonic contract might be discovered by the king, or he will considered a traitor for making a pact with a demon if the contract is discovered, the tter is the most likely scenario since I made sure that contract will be discovered one way or another.

  1 hour ter Hana finished negotiations with Lord Tendu. She was fast. Usually, things like these would st much longer than this.

  “How did it go?”- I looked at Hana, I wanted her to say that things had gone alright.

  “Well, it was ok. Lord Tendu gives all of her support to us and the monster nation and she will deal with the other lords. She told me to go directly to King Admaris”- Hana yawned.

  “Yeah, if that’s what she said, maybe we should do just that.”- I don’t know what else to say to her. I know that King Admaris is hand in hand with King Wieka and we need one of them to be gone.

  “Carmi will take care of Lord Tendu and we can go back to the capital”

  Without wasting much time Hana and I went outside of her mansion.

  Once we were outside we found Yoichi and around, damn, that’s too many people to count.

  !Total amount of people: 1527. Some are hidden in the bushes, recommending the use of shadow tendrils!

  “Enough Hikaru! I won’t let you go any further, your misdeeds have gone too far. You will be punished under Admarian w, come with me and your sentence will be shorter”- Yoichi got his sword ready to strike at me.

  “Hana, py along”

  “Sure, I guess I should repent or something”- Both me and I raise our hands. I sent my shadow tendrils to gather the people from the cover. I covered the mouths first so they wouldn’t scream.

  “When I say go, you attack with your tendrils”

  The telepathic network comes to our advantage again. They can’t hear us.

  “GO!”- Hana shouted.

  I threw the people at Yoichi, he caught them in a way that the people wouldn’t be hurt.

  Hana jumped over the crowd of people and used her skills to reach the other side.

  There is one thing that I wanted to try but never did.

  Shadow Tendril Wings, I tried to make the shadow tendrils into wings, it took me a few tries but I managed to make them and fly away from there. These wings don’t seem to st that much in flight, but they sted just enough for me to get ahead of the people Yoichi brought there to arrest us.

  “Ok, run as fast as you can!”- Hana is buying me time, she is behind me, one of her skills allows her to run faster than I ever could run and she can catch up to me in about 5 to 10 seconds. I tried running as fast as I could. I was using my skill to boost myself forward, mostly shadow tendrils to unch myself forward a great distance. Now, I hope there isn’t anyone waiting for us on the other side, for all of this to be a fluke would be smart but not efficient in catching us. I want to avoid casualties when it comes to things like these. I can’t afford to kill innocent people while I am at it. My only target is King Admaris.

  We ran out of there as fast as we could, cutting the trip short to only a quarter of the day. I guess the training Akira and Oka forced us to do comes in handy now, we are exhausted but we made out of there.

  We headed to the monster camp first to warn Liza and the others of the coming group.

  I don’t have time to note all of the details, but they gathered the camp and we gave them directions to go to the monster nation. The cooperation of Lord Tendu helped us make this pn shorter than we expected it to be. No more need to infiltrate the Lordships and institutions, we can go directly to the king.

  Now, the easy part is out of the way, now begins the hard part, killing King Admaris, or it might be easy depending on how we do it but it still going to be a chore no matter what we do.

  “I took care of them Hikaru!”- Hana caught up with me.

  “Good, now let’s hope Admaris isn’t waiting for us in the capital or something like that.”

  We are at the gates of the capital, we quickly sneaked into the capital and then went directly to King Admaris’s pace.

  Hana and I arrived there an hour or so. We couldn’t afford to be detected by the guards of the pace.

  “OK, now, we should rest for a bit. And form a strategy. We usually had one for everyone we took out but not this time. We might have to fight him 1 on 1”- I need to think of a way to deal with King Admaris. I don’t think being civil and talking will be an option.

  “I can take him on, but only if you support me with your shadow tendrils. That’s the only way we can take him down if it comes to fighting him. I hope we can at least discuss this with him and make a deal.

  “I think that won’t be possible. He is a Wieka ally, the chances are slim that he would want to talk with us civilly. At least that’s how I see it”

  “No matter. We can take him down anyway”
