Here goes nothing, bring it on!

  I am looking back and forth at where the monsters are located. I can feel their gaze upon me. It’s like a predator stalking its prey, but this time the prey fights back.

  *Use skill: Godspeed*- This is the only skill that is reliable here, I guess I said that already. If I use other attacks I won’t be able to hit them like I do when I use my katana.

  I managed to defeat 1 monster.

  I use Godspeed again, another monster. I kept using this skill to kill the other monsters that are coming my way.

  Crap, it’s too much to deal with, but if I want to get strong I need to fight. I need to level up, I need these levels to protect Hikaru and the rest.

  “Sia, do you detect any more monsters?”- I already killed 10 out of 30 that Sia detected.

  !Yes, I detect 10 more coming your way from just up ahead!

  Up ahead there is a clearing that goes off the road. You can go in pairs if you are off the road but not on the road, interesting.

  *Use skill: Godspeed*- I dashed through to the next monster, sshing it in half.

  The situation is dire here. 40 monsters in total that I have to fight all by myself. I am sure Hikaru doesn’t have to deal with these many monsters.

  !I am sorry for putting you through this but it’s necessary. You know that as well don’t you?!

  “I know that Sia, I know”- I replied to her, It’s kinda hard to talk and fight at the same time. I don’t know how Hikaru does this but I admire him for this. How doesn’t he get distracted by what Sia has to say?

  !That’s because of one of his skills. I allow him to think with 2 brains, each brain has a separate process from the other, and he can talk with one and fight with the other one. I don’t mean a literal brain but an artificial one created by a sub-skill of mine. My sub-skills can work on you as well but they will be less efficient, they do work on the person who owns me tho!- Sia finished her long sentence. I can feel like I can do 2 things at once now. My body is like moving on its own.

  !I activated the auto-battle mode. As the name suggests it will battle for you. Since I am a primordial tier skill you have nothing to worry about when it comes to battle!- I can hear Sia making a smug face. Wait, she did that 2 other times with Hikaru, didn’t she?

  !I did. People expect me to behave like a soulless robot. I do mock Hikaru sometimes and behave like one but that’s different. I never had a master that treated me like a human, they only used me for the information I was giving them.!

  “That’s sad to hear Sia. Don’t worry. With us you will be treated the way you deserve to be treated.”- I want to make Sia happy. She may be a skill but she has the same sentience and intelligence as us, so why not treat her like a human?

  2 hours ter:

  I managed to defeat all the monsters, I talked with Hikaru 1 more time, I needed to kill 1 monster to evolve, I am so close to evolving, I can feel it!

  “Now, are there any more monsters here?”- I asked Sia while I am looking around back and forth to see if there is anything out of the ordinary here. There should be at least a few monsters hiding around here.

  !I detect no monsters. I suggest you rest first before you continue doing anything!

  I did as Sia said. I am talking with Hikaru again.

  “So, you are 1 monster away from evolving?”- He asked, in a rather calm tone

  “Yes, I am. I know you are not that far but you will manage. I believe in you, Hikaru”

  “Thanks, Hana”- I can hear him smile on the other side. I am so happy when I hear or see Hikaru smiling.

  “Well, I am going to take a rest. Talk with you ter”- Is this the 1st or 2nd rest I am taking? I don’t remember exactly, but I think I rested once and I skipped saying it but oh well, who cares about small details like these?

  I don’t know what makes me so happy to see Hikaru being happy. I know that I care for him a lot but it rarely happened that other people being happy will make me happy as well. It’s a tricky thing that I need to figure out.

  The next day that we are on the path I contacted Hikaru to see what he is doing. He is fine, he didn’t manage to kill any more monsters but is still waiting in the same spot where he was st time.

  “Well, let’s go. 1 more monster and I will evolve”

  And there it was, the monster that we needed.

  A big Centaur. In this world, these monsters aren’t sentient, at least not all of them. Monsters on this path aren’t sentient, at least from what I have seen.

  I didn’t make any sudden movements, but yes, the Centaur attacked me.
