We are almost at the kingdom. It took us 3 days to get this close but we are almost there.

  “Hikaru, let’s stop for a minute”- Hana and I arrived at a high meadow, we could see the kingdom’s capital from this point.

  30 vilges and 10 smaller cities surround the capital.

  !Correction, There are only 5 smaller cities near the capital, and there are 35 vilges, 5 of which are rger vilges made by uniting smaller vilges. Despite their size, they are still considered vilges.!

  “Why are we stopping?”- I don’t get it. We still have a few days to walk until we reach the capital where the monster sves are being held. We will need to think about what we will do about that sve merchant once we get there.

  “Well, we need to revise our pn, We need to eat and rest and then we can go to the capital.”- Hana sat down and made a long face.

  “Why the long face?”- I sat down as well, I don’t know what came over Hana.

  “I am hungry. Get some food out of your spatial storage. I need it”

  “Guess I am also hungry”- I think I should eat. I don’t know what happened to my appetite after we had gone off that path. I guess I did eat something but not too much

  “Well, you didn’t eat that much the st 3 days. I also have a question to ask. But first, let’s go over our pn”- I gave Hana some leftover stew that I had in my spatial storage, good thing that it keeps food fresh for a long time.

  !Air doesn’t really exist in there, however, you can put air in there from the outside or generate it using mana. Food still won’t spoil since all germs that cause food spoige will be killed!

  “I know. Something has been bothering me for a long time now”- I looked straight at Hana, and she looked back at me. After staring at each other for a minute or so she sat closer to me

  “Why are you sitting so close?”- I don’t mind it but it seems strange. What am I talking about? Why would it be strange?

  “Well, what’s been bothering you?”- I got to tell her, sooner or ter she has to know.

  “Well, memories from Earth are coming back. Our past, everything I did and tried. It’s all coming back to me. I remember things that I thought I forgot, things that don’t seem real.”- All of these memories I had in my past life. Most of them were lost due to cognitive decay. But now, in this life, I am not so sure

  “Well, it is the same for me. Everything seems to be coming back to me as well. But I just choose to ignore it as much as I can. I know I am just running away from everything but I think a new world means a new beginning”- Hana began eating the stew I gave her while talking.

  “I don’t know about that Hana, but one thing is for sure. Things suck as they are currently. At first, I thought this world would be different than my previous one. But I now realize that it doesn’t matter what world I am in, things still suck. People as well, there are a few people we can trust.”- I looked at the remaining portion of stew Hana left, maybe that was for me. I took it and began to eat.

  “I realized it too te. But I didn’t get to say that in our original world. But I am going to say it to you now Hikaru”- Hana stopped eating. She looked at the ground and paused for a few seconds.

  “What is it?”- I don’t know what to do. What does she have to say to me?

  “I am sorry. I realized what I was doing in my previous world to keep you alive I realized it was selfish of me to do. Despite how bad you had it, I was trying to keep you alive. I just want to say sorry. A part of me wants to help you find peace while the other wants to keep you alive. I don’t know what to do”- Hana talked slowly all this time. Am I hearing this correctly? What is she saying? Is she admitting to all of it?

  “Don’t worry Hana. I don’t know but something came over me. I am somehow feeling better now. I don’t know what did you do but this made my day. Try and forget about it, OK. You made me more motivated to work toward my goal. And to work toward my goal I will need your help, Hana. Right now you are stronger than I am. I will need all of your strength. I know it’s selfish of me to ask but, please, help me achieve my dream in this world. A while ago I vowed to make this world a world that is worth living in. Will you help me do that?”- I grabbed Hana’s hands. I don’t know what came over me, but what she said motivated me to continue. It motivates me to do more for this world.

  I want to do something to make this world a better pce, even if I still have the same conclusion, that life isn’t worth living and life will still continue in this world. At least for the next generations that will come, I want to make it worth living.

  People are stupid and will still perpetuate life. I will make it so, even if they are stupid, their lives will be better.

  I want to make a world where if you work hard you can have a lot of money, a world where you don’t need to do back-breaking bor in order to earn a decent living, a world where humans and monsters can live with one another.

  That’s what I want to do. But with its current state, this world, it’s rotten. We need to become Demon Lords and change this world forever. Tomorrow we will make our pn, I am certain of it. I am more motivated than ever to do something right now.
