It didn’t take long until Fumiko arrived. Only 1 week. I am cutting things short here. I don’t want to document what I did during this week but it can be summed up as spending time with Malika, Hana, and the rest of the engineers that came here. I filled up mana cores and helped with building things, mostly doing the heavy lifting where needed. In the end, everyone told me I was a great helper. Well. I mean I had to help them, there was no other choice than, to help them. At this point, we might need to prepare for a potential war with the Kingdom of Wieka.

  “Hey, Hikaru, missed me?”- Fumiko has just arrived. She is with Ayame, Did the 2 of them walk on foot here? I expected Fumiko to travel in some fancy way.

  “Kinda. I can manage.”- That’s the only response I could give to Fumiko.

  Fumiko hugged me, I don’t know why she did that.

  !She is just gd to see you, Hikaru. That’s normal and acceptable behavior!

  “Thanks, Sia”- I hugged Fumiko back.

  “Well, let’s get to down to it, shall we?”- Ayame pointed to the monster vilge. We waited for somewhere around the outskirts of the monster vilge.

  When we arrived in the vilge everyone was happy to see Ayame. Every monster looked at her like she was a goddess.

  “OK, everyone! Gather up!”- She yelled and the monsters all gathered around her. The monsters have a mad respect for Ayame, a strange kind of respect, monsters don’t bow or kiss your hand, but they listen to what you have to say and obey you. It’s a strange way of respect, or at least that’s what the monsters here call respect.

  “Lady Ayame!”- The crowd cheered. Ayame is standing in front of us. I am standing to her right and Hana is to her left.

  “I have an announcement to make! Everyone, listen!”- Her voice changed, she sounded like one of those motivational speakers people told me to listen to in the past. They told me to “take their advice” and “make an effort”, but most of the tips were useless and didn’t offer me much consotion or respite from my situation or illness.

  “What could it be?”- I could hear the monsters whisper between themselves

  “Don’t fret, there is hope. I promised all of you that I would do everything for you to survive and that I would end human discrimination against monsters. It is a tall order and something impossible to do alone. But it is no longer impossible, standing today before me I have the 2 sprouting holders, Hikaru and Hana. These 2 are the future 2 demon lords that will lead this monster nation. Our goals are the same, we will make this world a better pce for everyone, doesn’t matter if you are human or monster, you will be welcomed everywhere you go. You won’t have to fear for your life or be a sve. Together we will forge a future everyone can be proud of!”- The monster crowd began to cheer, some of them, however, seemed to have 2nd thoughts about this.

  “If we do may ask Lady Ayame. How do we know that these 2 future demon lords have our interests in mind? How do we know that they won’t lose control of their powers?”- Some monsters asked and looked at us with fear in their eyes.

  “I will give you my word and I have proof that they have a primordial skill. The Lord of Wisdom, Sia. She can control them if the worst is to happen. If you ever heard of the name Sia, it means control in the monster nguage. So don’t fear. There will be no such thing. I swear on my honor as your leader!”- With these st words, Ayame made the entire crowd of monsters cheer for us, shouting our names.

  2 hours ter:

  I am with Ayame and Fumiko in a monster house made specifically for us to have meetings.

  “So, you meet Carmi and Lord Tendu and even King Admaris agreed to cooperate, all of this without Hana’s mind control and manipution skills. Impressive. Now I have to say, Hikaru, you handled this quite well”

  “Indeed he did”- From behind me I could hear Oka’s voice, this made me tremble a bit as it was sudden.

  “What are you doing here Oka?”- I asked her while turning toward her

  “Well, I came to visit with Ayame and Fumiko. You did as I instructed you and avoided bloodshed. But I have to warm you against something. Lord Wieka is preparing his army to come to attack the monster vilge, I mean both monster vilges, they disregarded my warnings as a Fenrir. I am now allowed to attack them if the soldiers attack me.”- Oka took a seat near us.

  “Well, there was some trouble but we managed to do a good job in the end”- Hana said while sipping on a cup of tea.

  “This doesn’t matter, what matters is that you 2 managed to do this. It’s impressive. Also, I have to say, that Hikaru is quite under-evolved. Looked at Hana she is 3-4 stages away from her final evolution”- Fumiko walked toward me. When she reached where I stood Fumiko stepped on a chair and touched one of my small horns.

  “I know that. I will focus on getting more experience from now on. The 2 of us need to get to our final evolution stage faster. We have but a few months until the army is sent to demolish this pce, we need to do something about this soon.”- I said while looking around the room. The mere thought that I will have to fight an entire army makes me shiver.

  “I say that you 2 rush it and evolve as soon as possible. Once you 2 reach a certain point you might get a skill to equalize your powers.”- Oka looked at us with a face that said “Do it as soon as possible”

  “We will start tomorrow”- Hana nodded her head and looked at me.
